Jyoti Malhotra's 'Connection To Pakistan' Was Busted A Year Ago, Indian Man Reported Her To NIA

Indian YouTuber, Jyoti Malhotra from Hisar, Haryana, was arrested due to the charges of being a Pakistani spy. She is currently on police remand for five days, and while the entire nation is in shock, people are wondering what made Jyoti sell her nation for money. Now, a social media user's post is going viral as he had busted her connection as a Pakistani spy almost a year before her arrest. 

Indian found Jyoti Malhotra's social media activities suspicious as he raised concerns regarding the same

Months before Jyoti Malhotra was arrested under charges of spying for Pakistan and leaking crucial Indian army information, netizens found a social media user's post that busted her connection with Pakistan. Jyoti is known for her YouTube channel, Travel With Jo, which has nearly 4 lakh subscribers. Although Jyoti was arrested a day ago, an old social media post by an Indian man had warned about her links to Pakistan. 

No normal Indian would want to visit Pakistan and try to promote their culture, but Jyoti's travels to Pakistan in 2023 were suspicious, and it was pointed out by a social media user, Kapil Jain. He warned the National Investigation Agency to look into her activities in May 2024. He also highlighted how she attended functions in the Pakistani embassy and then visited Pakistan for 10 days, after which she headed for Kashmir. He wrote:

"NIA, please keep close watch on this lady..she first visited and attained Pakistani embassy function then visited Pakistan for 10 days now she is heading for Kashmir... may be some link behind all these."

As soon as the old social media post went viral, netizen expressed their appreciation as the man was able to detect her suspicious activities almost a year ago. In times when everything seems all 'fun and play' on social media, Jyoti's pro-Pakistan activities in India are shown. One user wrote, "Good job Agent Kapil." Another one commented, "You were ahead of time bro! Kudos." A third person wrote, "A random twitter user warned the NIA almost a year ago. Wow."

In 2024, Jyoti accepted a 'special invitation' from the Pakistan High Comission to attend an Iftar dinner. She shared glimpses of the same on her social media handle, where she was seen engaging comfortably with a High Comission official, whom she identified as Danish.

The government declared Ahsan-ur-Rahim persona non grata and expelled him on charges of espionage. The investigation further revealed that Jyoti had a close relationship with Danish, which formed during her trip to Pakistan in 2023. He was the one who introduced her to several Pakistani Intelligence Operatives. 

Jyoti Malhotra's father talked about his daughter being a Pakistani spy

The father of Jyoti Malhotra stated that his daughter only visited Pakistan to shoot videos for her YouTube channel. He also stated that the police had taken their bank documents, phone, and laptop. He even exclaimed that she had taken the necessary permissions to visit Pakistan. Not only this, Jyoti's father defended her and stated that she had friends there. In an interview with ANI, Haris Malhotra said:

"She used to visit Pakistan and other places to shoot videos for YouTube. If she has some friends there, can't she call them? I have no demands, but give us our phones. A case has been registered against us."
