South actor, Kiran Abbavaram's new movie, K-Ramp, on October 18, 2025, had a theatrical release. Fans were waiting for the movie way ahead of its release. Well, now critics as well as fans have praised the movie on one side for its comedy, family-related sentiments, and also romantic angle. They did notice that a healthy dose of comedy, college, and exam-related scenes at some point seemed relatable. However, Kiran's film has received mixed reactions from the audiences, and fans have shared different views on X, formerly Twitter.
Well, in K-Ramp, Kiran is shown to play the role of 'Kumar', who is shown to be a careless and spoiled man who has performed very poorly in the EAMCET exams. In order to get admission in the college, Kiran's wealthy dad gives a huge donation to go to college along with his friend. Kiran, at that time, meets 'Joy Mercy' essayed by Yukti, who has saved him from an accident. Her bond with Kiran is that of friendship at the start, but it soon develops into love. 'Mercy' is seen having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and has issues with trusting people, which adds more complexity to their entire relationship.
There was a section of users who loved the performance of Kiran, who played the role of 'Kumar' with a lot of conviction. Others criticised the humour element of the movie and called it cringeworthy and the writing flat. They wrote that the script failed to resonate with the audience. The first half was engaging, with the second half being emotional. A user penned on X, "K-Ramp a silly, outdated film that’s over the top from start to finish! The film follows a very simple story with a routine to the core screenplay that we’ve seen countless times before. This might have worked for a genre that aims purely to entertain, but here the comedy and entertainment quotient go completely overboard, crossing into the cringe zone and feeling outright silly."
The user continued, "The director manages to make only a few comedy bits land, while the rest of the writing is poor and lacks any real depth. Kiran Abbavaram brings his usual energy to the role, though it feels repetitive given his past outings. Apart from a few moments, this offers little to no genuine entertainment. Tiring!" A user even wrote, "KRamp movie short review = -Good Try But Flat Ride overall = 2.35/5 few rare good moments, but overall just an average watch."

A user shared how the movie was poorly directed and penned, "#KRamp is outrightly outdated and painfully dull, filled with weak characterizations, overdone performances, and flat writing. Even the emotional core feels undercooked due to weak direction and uneven tone. Except for the father-son emotion, which is okay-decent, and hardly two fun moments in the second half, nothing really works. Overall, #KRamp is a tiresome watch." However, netizens were happy with the intervals in the film, which were tipsy turvy, and were fully in praise of the Telugu Diwali release. Kiran's energy on the screen was fast-paced and was appreciated by all. They loved how the second half was filled with family sentiments, and the emotional delivery was at its peak.
Do you think Kiran Abbavaram's latest movie, K-Ramp, really has average writing?
