Arbaaz Khan, who recently embraced parenthood with his second wife, Sshura Khan, has returned to the big screen with his latest horror film, Kaal Trighori. For the unversed, the film is directed by Nitin N. Vaidya, and the film blends horror with ancient folklore and psychological fear. Read on to know if the film, Kaal Trighori, starring Arbaaz Khan and Rituparna Sengupta is worth watching or not.
The film, Kaal Trighori, which was released on November 14, 2025, is based on the rare event, where three important nights happen in the same month and according to some local stories, the local folklore calls it 'Trighori'. The film, directed by Nitin Vaidya features three characters, 'Raviraj' (played by Aditya Srivastava), his wife, 'Madhuri' (played by Rituparna Sengupta) and their best friend, 'Dr. Manoj' (played by Arbaaz Khan). The three soon find themselves in the middle of a horrific space, when they get connected to an old mansion.

Unlike several Bollywood horror films, the director of this film focused mainly on creating the right setting. The film blends Indian folklore and family tensions, without making it sound boring. The best part of the film, Kaal Trighori, is its production design. Rather than using loud noises and jump-scares, the film builds tension slowly with creepy moments, rocking chairs and an eerie doll. Apart from this, the mansion also gives the viewers a creepy and scary vibe.

Apart from strong writing and direction, the powerful screen presence of the lead cast is what steals the spotlight. Arbaaz Khan, who is stepping into the horror genre gives a very controlled and emotional performance. His character is someone who tries to hold his life together and Arbaaz perfectly portrays him. The female lead, Rituparna, brings charms and vulnerability as 'Madhuri'. Apart from the supporting cast including Aditya Srivastava, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rajesh Sharma and more, make every scene memorable.

Even though, the makers of the film, Kaal Trighori managed to deliver a really good film, they missed a few things, which can make a difference in the overall experience of watching it. One major flaw in the film is that some parts of the story are left unfinished. This can leave the viewers disappointed who want answers by the end. Another flaw in the film is that the story loses pace at times. Some scenes feel slow and stretched.

For those wondering if the film, Kaal Trighori can be watched or not, the short and simple answer is yes. It is definitely a one-time watch for several reasons, including the strong acting by actors and the powerful production design and narrative of the time. Apart from this, this film will be a treat for all the fans of Arbaaz Khan and Aditya Srivastava. For those who don’t know, Aditya is well-known for his role as ‘Abhijeet’ in the TV show, CID.
