Kajal Aggarwal had tied the knot with her long-time interior designer boyfriend, Gautam Kitchlu on October 30, 2020. They had got married according to both Punjabi and Kashmiri rituals. For months the media galleries were buzzing with reports of Kajal Aggarwal’s first pregnancy. The buzz was strong that she had informed the team of her Telugu film, Acharya to wrap her scenes soon as she was planning to take maternity leave. After a long wait, Kajal and her husband, Gautam announced their pregnancy on the occasion of New Year 2022.
On January 1, 2022, Gautam Kitchlu had taken to his Instagram handle to announce his wife, Kajal's pregnancy. Sharing a picture of her, Gautam had penned a note to welcome 2022. However, it was the pregnant women emoticon at the end that had confirmed the reports of their pregnancy. He had written:

After Gautam announced Kajal's pregnancy, the actress has been flaunting her baby bump with pride. Taking to her IG stories a few minutes back, Kajal shared a gorgeous picture with her husband, Gautam. Kajal and Gautam are in Goa currently and have been enjoying a vacation. She shared a picture from the same, where she can be seen twinning with her husband in the shades of black. Kajal donned a black body-hugging dress and flaunted her baby bump. Her pregnancy glow was unmissable in the photo.
On January 2, 2022, Kajal had taken to her Instagram handle to share pictures of her New Year's celebration. For the New Year party, Kajal had donned a gorgeous side-slit green-hued gown, on the other hand, her husband, Gautam had a blue-coloured shirt with a pair of jeans. However, it was Kajal's baby bump that had stolen the show. Gautam was seen lovingly caressing her baby bump as they had posed. Along with it, Kajal had written:

There was a strong buzz for the past few months that Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu is pregnant and is expecting her first child with her husband, Gautam Kitchlu. In an interview with ETimes, the actress had addressed her pregnancy rumours and had said:
“I would not like to talk about it right now. I will talk about it when the time is right.”
During the reports of her pregnancy, Kajal had posted some gorgeous pictures on her IG handle from a magazine shoot. She had appeared on the cover of Fablook magazine and had looked drop-dead gorgeous in a black, thigh-high slit gown. It was reported that the shoot was not a recent one, and was done earlier.
