R Madhavan, Karan Johar, Rasha Thadani, Avneet Kaur, Sajjid Khan and many other known faces were spotted during the special screening of the film, Kesari 2. Ananya Panday’s BFF, Suhana Khan also marked her attendance at the film’s premiere wearing a black one-shoulder maxi dress.

Kesari Chapter 2 storyline

Kesari 2 is a historical courtroom drama directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. It is the sequel of the 2019 film, Kesari. The film will focus on the hidden facts about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. After Kesari became a blockbuster hit, the Dharma Production came up with the story of Kesari 2. The storyline featured the journey of an unsung hero, C. Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Empire. Kesari 2 featured Akshay as C Sankaran Nair. R Madhavan and Ananya Panday joined Akshay Kumar this time and are seen in lead roles.

Who was the protagonist, C Sankaran Nair, played by Akshay Kumar?

For those unversed, C Sankaran Nair was a member of the Viceroy’s Council in 1915 in charge of the Education portfolio. Sir Sankaran Nair fought a courtroom battle against senior officials of the British empire who sued him after he held the British Raj responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Sankaran made history when he resigned in protest for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre after 1919. The storyline of Kesari 2 is purely based on C Sankaran Nair’s journey and the unknown facts about the Jallianwala massacre.
