Kajol Reveals What It Is Like Working With Husband, Ajay Devgn, 'We're Not Civilised, We Call Out..'

Kajol and Ajay Devgn have long been one of Bollywood's most admired couples. Their filmy love story began on the set of Hulchul in the mid-90s. Despite their opposite personalities with Kajol's expressive nature and Ajay's quiet demeanor, they tied the knot in 1999. After staying married for two decades and being parents to two children, they often collaborate professionally for different projects, and fans are curious to know what the working equation between the actors might be. In a recent interview, Kajol finally revealed what it is like working with her husband, Ajay Devgn.

Kajol reveals how she and Ajay Devgn address their professional disagreements

Kajol sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India. Known for her honesty and wit, the actress didn't hold back and opened up about what it's like to work with her husband, Ajay Devgn. She explained that working in the same industry and occasionally on the same films comes with its own set of challenges. However, they have come up with a unique way of solving disagreements. Sharing details about it, Kajol said: 

"90% of the time, if he is going over the top, I just call him out on it, and he calls me out on it. We are not civilised, and we will not take it to the corner. But it does not happen very often, we don't work that often together, we work once every five years."

Earlier at a promotional event for her upcoming film, Maa, the actress was asked about how her husband, Ajay Devgn, is like a producer when they work together. Initially, the actress humorously commented that he harassed and troubled her a lot. But, later, taking a serious tone, she shared that he has been a wonderful producer for her and the whole team of his film. 

Kajol stated she has no complaints with Ajay Devgn

Previously, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Kajol was asked about how she feels as a wife when Ajay Devgn has to leave for long outdoor schedules. Sharing her honest feelings, Kajol mentioned that sometimes she feels relieved about it and other times, she simply misses his presence on various occasions. Explaining if she has any complaints with him as a wife, the actress said:

"I don't have any complaints. Whatever complaints I had, we have resolved them, and they are way in the past."

Kajol's work front 

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the Kriti Sanon starrer film, Do Patti, playing the role of an inspector, 'Vidya Pathi'. The film featured Shaheer Sheikh and received mixed reviews. She will next be seen in the mythological horror film, Maa, directed by Vishal Furia. It is produced by Ajay Devgn and is set to grace the big screen on June 27, 2025. It stars Indraneil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma and Ronit Roy. The actress also has Maharagini, Sarzameen and season two of her web series, The Trial, in her kitty.
