Kajol Pokes Fun At Her Best Friend, Shah Rukh Khan's Bejewelled Look From Met Gala 2025 Event

Shah Rukh Khan yet again created history by walking the blue carpet at the Met Gala 2025 as the first Indian actor. His fans across the world went crazy seeing their favourite Shah Rukh in a gorgeous outfit, spreading his charm and smile at the event. It was the first time we spotted the minimalist, Shah Rukh dressed to the nines with all the jewels. However, it is his best friend, Kajol, who poked fun at his bejewelled in the cutest way.

On May 6, 2025, Kajol took to her Instagram handle and posted glimpses of her shoot. In the photos, the actress, who is one of the most-loved co-stars of the King Khan, was dressed up in a black-hued tuxedo. She was seen keeping her look minimal with subtle makeup and perfectly lined eyes. Kajol accessorised her look with chunky layered bangles, a nose ring, and chunky rings. 

Another highlight of Kajol's look was the way she nailed Shah Rukh's expression of lifting one eyebrow. She posted another photo of Shah Rukh's Met Gala 2025 look. For the unversed, Shah Rukh wore a floor-length elongated coat by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Sharing the photos, Kajol wrote:

"Hmmmmmmmm, spot the difference. @iamsrk."

Talking about Shah Rukh wore a black-hued elongated coat in Tasmanian superfine wool with monogrammed Japanese horn buttons. The coat is a single-breasted one with a peak collar and wide lapels. He paired it with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. He completed his look with satin kamarbandh, which completed his look. He accessorised his look with the Bengal Tiger Head cane, which is crafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds.

For those who don't know, this year's Met Gala's theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The themes were inspired by Monica L Miller's book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, which was published in 2009. The dress code was 'Tailored for You', and everyone stuck to the suits and menswear which were featured in the exhibition. According to reports, it is the first time in more than two decades that the Met Gala primarily focused on menswear. One of the Gala committee members, Usher said:

"The theme this year is not only timely, but also speaks to our rich culture that should always be widely celebrated."
