Kajol REVEALS She Would NOT Say YES To 'DDLJ 2': 'Nobody Wants To Know If They Fought Over Diapers'

Kajol is loved for her impeccable acting and on-screen presence. But it is her role as 'Simran' of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayege that is etched in the hearts of the actress' millions of followers. Kajol, who is busy promoting her upcoming film, Maa, revealed that she wouldn't say yes to the sequel of DDLJ, and she gave a strong reply.

Kajol on the sequel of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Kajol talked about the sequel of the 1995 classic movie, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. Kajol expressed her strong emotions and stated that she could not imagine a sequel to it. She stated that people do not want to know what happened after the train journey. She added that no one wants to know whether the couple fought over diapers or not. She was quoted as saying:

"Each film has a certain amount of magic that it produces. I can't imagine DDLJ 2. Like train ke baad kya hua? Kisi ko pata bhi nahin karna hai. Do you really want to know whether they fought over diapers or not? You don't want to know. It's wonderful that it's left at the end. Train chali gayi. THE END, brilliant. Now you can just leave it to imagination. They lived happily ever after."

Kajol's upcoming projects

Kajol made her acting debut with the 1992 film, Bekhudi. She is best known for her films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Kajol has a pipeline of projects, and it seems like she never seems to rest. In her diverse lineup, she has films ranging from horror, action, and drama to mystery. However, it is the first time Kajol has taken the horror route with Maa. She is also going to be seen in Charan Tej Uppalapati's action-packed film, Maharagni — Queen of Queens. The movie marks her reunion with Prabhu Deva after 27 years. She was last seen on Netflix's Do Patti, and fans loved her role as a police officer. 

When Kajol talked about her filmography

Earlier, at News18’s Rising Bharat Summit 2025, Kajol talked about filmography and how she is one of the least working actresses. She stated that she likes to be lazy and believes in slow living as she wants to enjoy her life. She was quoted as saying:

"I am the least worked actor in the whole film industry. Puri film industry mein jo log recently aaye hai unn logon ne zyada kaam kiya hoga. Mujhse zayada. I think my filmography is all about 50-55 films that’s it. I choose to be lazy. I choose to have a slower life. I choose to enjoy my life as along with working. I think working should be part of my life not apart of my life. And every which way I have found a balance to life. I like my coffee, slow morning. I love my life."
