Kajol, Twinkle Khanna React To Backlash Over 'Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle', 'Don't Follow Any..'

The Bollywood buffs love nothing more than an unfiltered insight into their favourite celebrities. And while there are several podcasts and talk shows that already provide them with ample gossip, another show is never too much. However, what happens when gossip is overshadowed by controversy? Well, celebrity talk shows hosted by none other than the divas of B-Town themselves, Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, have created headlines for such statements. And now, the hosts have themselves reacted to the same.

Twinkle Khanna is known for her witty persona, and Kajol's unfiltered charms are not hidden from anyone either. However, it seems that putting the duo together has become 'too much' for the audience. Their talk show, Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, has been drawing intense backlash for their comments. And now, the duo has officially addressed the criticism and offered a clarification about what, according to them, was supposed to be a lighthearted segment.

Kajol and Twinkle Khanna also acknowledged that the show should have included a disclaimer from the very beginning. While the series has ended, the duo returned to Amazon Prime Video with a newly released bonus episode, shot after the original episodes had already started streaming. In this episode, the two stars addressed the backlash they've faced and acknowledged the audience's views. During the episode, Kajol was quoted as saying:

"Now it's time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble. Here opinions don't matter as much as lighthearted teasing."

Twinkle Khanna continued, adding that they should have added a disclaimer from the beginning. The actress-turned-author added that they should have made it clear that everything they say during the segment is meant for lighthearted entertainment only. She further urged her audience not to take any advice from whatever they say during the segment. Twinkle was quoted as saying: 

"And there's a disclaimer, which we should have had from the first episode, that nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don't follow any of our advice in this segment."

When Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle created a buzz online

Some of the comments that drew attention on social media included the episode in which Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon joined them. During the This or That segment, a discussion ensued when Kajol, married to Ajay Devgn, shared her belief that marriages should have an expiry date and an option to renew. The comment sparked an instant debate online, with fans bashing the actress for her statement.

Twinkle and Kajol further stirred up a storm when they appeared to defend infidelity by arguing there is a difference between physical and emotional cheating during an episode with Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar. In the episode, Kajol and Twinkle said that for them, physical infidelity was "not a deal breaker." While Janhvi replied, "No, the deal is broken", Twinkle added, "We're in our 50s, she's in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon. She hasn't seen the things we have seen. Raat gayi baat gayi."

The talk show began with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan as guests and later featured celebrities such as Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Janhvi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, and others. The show is available on Prime Video. The bonus episode had cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma as guests.
