Tanishaa Mukerji is back on television as she has participated in the eleventh season of the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She has been a part of reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss. While everyone knows her for her strong personality in the controversial show Bigg Boss, Tanishaa never really enjoyed the 'star status' like her sister, Kajol, and her mother, Tanuja. Recently, she got emotional on the show and revealed that 'she is not a star.' Now, she revealed how her sister, Kajol, reacted to her comment.
In an interaction with IndianExpress.com, Tanishaa recently revealed how her sister, Kajol, reacted to her comment about 'not being a star'. Tanishaa revealed that they share a strong relationship, and her sister, Kajol, understands her and the intention behind the comment. She revealed that Kajol is proud of her for being honest. Tanishaa was quoted as saying:
"We share a very strong relationship, there is a sense of… See, Kajol understands the intention behind everything I say, and I am sure she is proud of me for being honest and real. That’s what we have been taught by our mother to be who we are, always."

Tanishaa further revealed if her family advised her before entering Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. She laughed out loud and added that they had never participated in a dancing show, so they could not advise her. However, they would be watching and cheering for her like they had been when she struggled.
For the unversed, the Mukerji sisters make sure to celebrate each others' victories and wish each other on important occasions. However, Tanishaa often faced comparisons with her sister, Kajol. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tanishaa shared how it feels to go through constant comparisons with her sister, Kajol. The actress revealed that there is no such thing as a comparison between the two, as they had different journeys. She also shared that they never thought about it, and they never even compete with each other.
Tanishaa shares a close bond with her sister, Kajol and her mother, Tanuja. Last year, Tanishaa revealed her mother's reaction to their Lonavala house, which she renovated. She posted a video of her mother, Tanuja, visiting their Lonavala home with her family. The video starts with Tanuja, Kajol and Tanishaa getting out of their car and seeing the first glimpse of the renovated place. When the trio entered their home, they touched it before stepping in.
