Kalyani's Father, Priyadarshan Hasn't Watched 'Lokah Chapter 1' Yet, Actress Says, 'Because He Is..'

Among many big-budget multi-starrer movies running in theatres, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, a mid-budget, women-centric superhero film, has taken over the cinemas. Produced by Mollywood superstar, Dulquer Salmaan and starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, this Malayalam-language film is being praised as one of the best superhero films in India. However, Kalyani recently revealed that her father and legendary filmmaker, Priyadrashan, has yet to watch her blockbuster movie.

Priyadarshan has established his name in the Indian film industry for creating iconic and irreplaceable comedy films, such as Bhool Bhulaiya and the Hera Pheri franchise, among others. The director is all set to make the audience tear up with laughter with his upcoming movies Bhooth Bangla, Haiwaan, and Hera Pheri 3. In an interview with NDTV, his daughter, Kalyani Priyadarshan, who has recently received widespread recognition for her role in Lokah Chapter 1, revealed that her father hasn't watched her blockbuster movie yet. 

Kalyani stated that as the buzz of the movie grew, she had met Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, who were filming with Priyadarshan in Kerala for the upcoming film, Haiwaan. Both actors wanted to watch the film and hence asked a day off from her father, but he refused them, revealed Kalyani. She revealed that her father, who is very professional, stated that even he hadn't watched his daughter's film, Lokah Chapter 1, and told everyone that they could go only after finishing the shoot. Kalyani was quoted as saying:

"My dad, being the father, like, he's so professional that he's like, no, I haven't watched my daughter's movie yet. Nobody gets a day off. We're finishing this, and then we will go."

Kalyani reveals the strict professionalism of her father, Priyadarshan 

Kalyani revealed the professional approach of Priyadarshan while working. The actress stated that her father has refused to take a day off and watch the film because he doesn't want to do that 'at the cost of the producer'. After delivering on the commitment, Priyadarshan will watch Lokah Chapter 1, said Kalyani. The actress shared:

"He's still not watched my film because he's shooting every day. Despite everything, he has refused to take a day off to go watch the film. He's like, I will watch it, but not at the cost of my producer. I will finish what I've committed to him, then I will go watch it."
