The wedding bells are ringing in the Ranaut house in Manali, and the ceremonies are going on in full swing for not just one but two marriages. After sharing a glimpse of her brother, Aksht Ranaut’s Badhai ritual, Kangana Ranaut posted a video of her brother, Karan’s haldi ceremony. Revealing that Karan and Aksht had broken the jinx of no weddings in their ancestral house, Kangana had captioned the video as “After @rangoli_r_chandel wedding more than a decade ago there was no wedding in the family, all thanks to me, but today my brothers Karan and Aksht broke the jinx and our ancestral house is drowned in wedding festivities. Two weddings in three weeks starting with Karan ki Haldi today.”
For the haldi function, Kangana Ranaut opted for an earthy mauve hued georgette kurta by Rimple & Harpreet Narula which she paired with a salwar pant. Kangana’s outfit was all about going desi with no modern strings attached and she accentuated her look with a half-tied hairdo with her long cascading curls left down, which was accessorised with a rose. But what stood out in Kangana’s look from the ceremony was the beautiful earrings she had worn. Kangana picked her mother’s vintage earrings for the ceremony, which brought an extra level of oomph in her look.
Since the countdown for Aksht Ranaut and Ritu’s wedding has begun, the Ranaut family has kickstarted the ceremonies of the soon-to-be groom. Aksht’s pre-wedding functions had begun with the Badhai ritual. For the ceremony, Kangana had looked gorgeous in a pear green-coloured silk saree paired up with a sleeveless blouse and a choker and matching earrings enhanced her OOTD. Kangana had opted for a neutral makeup look with nude lips and smokey eyes, and her hair tied into a bun. Her sister, Rangoli Chandel had picked a saree from Kangana’s closet. Rangoli had grabbed our attention in a royal blue coloured handloom saree with flower motifs weaved into it and her look was accentuated with traditional gold jewellery. In the past, Kangana had worn this saree at the launch event of a handloom saree brand. If this was the time when Rangoli Chandel made heads turn in an outfit from her sister, Kangana Ranaut’s collection. A few months ago, for the griha pravesh puja of Rangoli’s new home, Kangana had worn her sister’s first Karwa Chauth saree. Revealing the same, Rangoli had captioned the pictures from the griha pravesh puja as “We decided to postpone our house warming party and only did Pooja, in the morning when Kangana saw me leave for my house she was shocked to see me in my track suit almost screamed aren’t you getting ready?? I was like no one is coming ... she said it’s a special day just do little something and the little something she did was steamed my Paithani Sari ... made me wear my wedding jewellery, did my eye make up and she herself wore my first karva chauth sari... then she ran to get flowers from her garden, decorated my hair ... and result is here sharing with you all ... I sometimes wonder people who don’t have enthu lil fashionista sister ... how do they manage their lives, it indeed was a very special day, and she looked so beautiful in my sari.”
In a throwback interview with the Femina, Kangana Ranaut had revealed how her relationship with her sister, Rangoli Chandel had changed since the latter got married. Kangana had said, "Rangoli has never been an ambitious person. She has always had a close set of people that she cares deeply for and confides in. And today as a mother to her baby (Prithviraj), she is even more exclusive. This baby is the centre of Rangoli’s existence today. Sometimes I only get to talk to her once in three days. I feel bad that her priorities have changed today (smiles). And I don’t have the attention, love and companionship that I had received from her in the past.
