Kanye West, now known as Ye, and Kim Kardashian had been one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples. Their romance, marriage, and public split had grabbed headlines for years.
After their divorce, the former couple continues to stay connected as they co-parent their four children: daughters, North, 12, and Chicago, 7, and sons, Saint, 9, and Psalm, 6. However, they often keep their communication with each other under wraps. But in a recent conversation, Kim Kardashian shared insights into her complex co-parenting with Kanye and the rapper's bond with his children.
Kim Kardashian recently sat down for a conversation with Kanye West on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She made several revelations about her personal life on the show, including co-parenting with her now-former husband, Kanye West. Amid other things, fans were left surprised after the reality TV star revealed that Kanye has not 'seen or called' his children in a couple of months now. In her words:
"Whenever he calls them and asks. It's probably been a couple of months since we've heard from him. The kids always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour, and that he lived in different countries all the time."
Further, Kim explained that Kanye's irregular contact with the kids is largely due to his extensive international travel and high-profile lifestyle. For those unaware, after his divorce, Kanye often goes on trips with his new wife, Bianca Censori. However, the SKIMS founder highlighted that the children are aware of his travel habits and are used to it. While his physical absence as a father is noticeable, Kim mentioned that she never stopped him from meeting their kids and sometimes even flies them internationally to Saudi Arabia, Italy, or Japan whenever he asks.
According to another report from the Hindustan Times, Ye's limited presence in his children's lives is partly due to his legal challenges. He has multiple lawsuits pending against him in the United States, which often makes him reluctant to return home. Consequently, his temporary absence is more a result of circumstances than an intentional effort. At the same time, his mental health struggles sometimes make him less inclined to meet his children. Previously, Kim acknowledged that she needed to protect her kids from some of his controversial actions to keep a happy home environment.

Amid all the challenges, Kim Kardashian feels inspired and envious of her sister, Khloé Kardashian's co-parenting dynamic with NBA star, Tristan Thompson. She noted that she admires how Tristan maintains a balance, puts their kids to bed, and takes them to school when he is not playing in a session. She admitted that she feels a touch of 'envy' for their really healthy' co-parenting relationship, unlike hers.
Kim Kardashian also reflected on the broader backdrop of their family life. She described herself as a mother of four children, focusing on providing stability, consistency, and emotional security to her kids. The reality star spends nearly 80% of her time with the children, effectively managing their daily lives. She admitted that despite Ye's inconsistent schedule, she never tries to protect their bond all the time. Moreover, sometimes when the reality TV star feels that it is not the right situation for them to meet, she tries to reschedule the time or keep the meeting at her place.
