The Great Indian Kapil Show is all set to host a grand musical night. The comedian will welcome some of the biggest names in the Indian music industry, including Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravijani, Shaan and Neeti Mohan on his couch. Amid that, the makers of the show have released a promo for the upcoming episode, and it shows Kapil playing some humorous tricks on his guest. And, as we all know, Kapil never misses a chance to poke fun at his guests and sometimes those who are not there.

The industry had hardly forgotten the 'kiss controversy' involving Udit Narayan and his female fans when Kapil Sharma once again refreshed our memories. In an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the comedian will be seen poking fun at Udit Narayan's row. In the clip, Kapil mentions how both Udit and Shaan sing with a smile on their face and often welcome guests to meet them on stage.

However, while Shaan gives them a magical hug, Udit works his magic in a completely different way. The comedian refers to the kiss controversy and takes the jab. He was quoted as saying:

"Shaan bhai aur Udit sir, dono haste haste gaate hain, dono se milne fan stage par aate hain. Yeh baat alag hai ki Shaan bhai jaadu ki jhappi dete hai aur Udit ji toh jaadu ki kardete hain."

The promo of The Great Indian Kapil Show also captured a hilarious exchange between Kapil Sharma and Navjot Singh Sidhu. For the unversed, Navjot had returned to the show after a long break and co-shares the chair with Archana Puran Singh. In the video, Siddhu talks about how those who are in love with their country will keep sacrificing themselves. And the moths will keep coming till there is a burning flame. Kapil joked about Sidhu flirting with Archana Puran Singh and stated:

"Shamma bhale hi jalti rahe, parwaane aur bhi aate rahenge, jaise hi camera hata, hum Archana ka haath dabate rahenge."

Netizens react to the video

Kapil’s jokes left fans in stitches, with comments like, "Kapil needs to hesitate." A comment read, "Hesitation left the chat." Another wrote, "Kapil, you rock." The chat was soon flooded with the laughing emoticons.

Udit Narayan's kiss controversy

In February 2025, a video from one of Udit Narayan's live concerts went viral, showing him kissing a female fan on the lips when she leaned in for a cheek kiss during a selfie. The clip sparked backlash over issues of consent and inappropriate behaviour, with old videos resurfacing of him giving surprise kisses to singers like Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal. He attempted to deflect the controversy by claiming his fans were the ones who wanted it, and he was merely showing them affection.
