Kapil Sharma has been receiving high-end trolling for one of his comments about the director, Atlee. For the unversed, Atlee appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show for the promotion of his upcoming film, Baby John, which will feature Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. In one of the segments, Kapil made a comment that left netizens bursting out in anger, and they thought it to be a dig of the host. On the other hand, Atlee's reply to the same won hearts. Now, after receiving a whole lot of flak, Kapil Sharma finally broke the silence about the same.
Recently, an X (Twitter) user took to his handle and shared the clip from the show, wherein he claimed that Kapil Sharma, with his statement, took a subtle dig at Atlee, while the latter replied like a boss, saying that one shouldn't be judged by appearance but by heart. Well, Kapil was in no mood to spare this 'hate' tweet, as he replied to it and asked the user to explain where he talked about Atlee's look.
He further asked the user to stop spreading hate. Kapil Sharma then stated that everyone should first watch the episode and then decide whatever comment they would have to make on his remark. He urged everyone to stop following one's comment like a 'sheep'. Kapil's reply can be read as:
"Dear sir, can you pls explain me where n when I talked about looks in this video ? pls don’t spread hate on social media, thank you. (guys watch n decide by yourself, don’t follow any body’s tweet like a sheep)."
When Atlee arrived at Kapil Sharma's show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, the host mentioned that the director, despite being this young, has left a notable mark in his professional field. He further asked if it ever happened that anyone failed to recognise him after meeting him. To this, Atlee was taken aback and he came back with a dignified reply.
Atlee stated that he is very thankful that his first film got into production by AR Murugadoss, who loved his work, irrespective of how he looked or what he was capable of. Atlee further added that one shouldn't be judged by appearance but by heart. While netizens were in anger with Kapil's remarks, which they tagged to be 'racist', they loved the way Atlee gave a dignified yet sassy reply.

It was singer, Chinmayi Sripaada who also called out Kapil Sharma for his alleged derogatory remark on Atlee. The singer re-shared the clip and questioned when these 'racist' comments can be stopped, which is being used in the name of comedy. She also added that it is disappointing and not surprising for someone like Kapil Sharma, with this much influence, to make such a comment.
