In a recent interview with Film Companion, Karan Johar opened up about his personal life and addressed the much-asked question about falling in love or having a partner in his life. Answering this, the producer shared that he has no one in his life right now and admitted that he had never given the required attention to his personal life. That is the reason why he's still single. Reflecting on his mistake, Karan called it one of his life's deepest regret, not having a partner in his life. However, when he was told there was still some time, the producer refused and said that it was way too late to have a partner now. Karan explained:
"I don't have that. That's a vacant spot in my life and that's my deepest regret. But I think the bigger regret I have is that I didn't give that part of my life the importance that I think that it deserved at a certain point of time and now, I think it might be too late."
Going further in the interview, Karan Johar added that for most of his life, he has been extremely busy with his work and has given zero importance to his personal life. The producer also added that even his decision to have kids was '5 years later' than the original plan. We are glad that he had stuck to the thought of embracing parenthood. Otherwise, we would have never met his adorable munchkins, Roohi Johar and Yash Johar, who never miss a chance to make us fall in love with themselves with their cute antics. Coming back to his love life, Karan clearly stated that he's too old now to go on a mountain trip with a partner. Reflecting on the same, he said:
"I think it's perhaps too late for me to now find a life partner, and go to the mountains for a quiet holiday with or kind of have someone hold my hand at times."
