Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut and ace filmmaker-director, Karan Johar's feud is not hidden from anyone in the Hindi film industry. From Kangana brutally character assassinating Karan on his own show, Koffee With Karan, to repeatedly bashing him with her comments on his way of channelling nepotism in the industry, we have time and again noticed the actress' mean actions towards him. However, now, it seems that the feud between Karan and Kangana s geared towards an end as the director hinted at patching up with her.
Despite whatever happened between Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar, the ace filmmaker hinted at a possible patch-up between them. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Karan mentioned his excitement to watch Kangana's upcoming film, Emergency. Moreover, Karan revealed that if he would ever make a film on any political event, he would think about taking Kangana in it. Revealing his excitement for Emergency, he said:
“The emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”

Well, Karan Johar's comment mentioning his excitement to watch Kangana Ranaut's Emergency came six years after she called him a 'movie mafia'. This happened when Kangana Ranaut appeared on Karan Johar's show, Koffee With Karan, bashed him for his films and accused him of promoting nepotism. Following this, the filmmaker was also heard revealing that he does not want to work with Kangana in many of his interviews.
Not only that, on July 30, 2023 too, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at the filmmaker, Karan Johar for his recently released film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Sharing a video featuring Karan for one of his old statements about how one can change the box office status of a film through PR, Kangana had slammed him and his films. She had written.
“Karan Johar ji is saying that I can get anything done by throwing money… I can build any perception… Do they only make their films hit, do they honor themselves or do they make others negative PR and flop their hit films?”

Further, on July 29, 2023, in another series of stories on her IG handle, Kangana Ranaut once again bashed Karan Johar. She had urged Karan to retire and not waste public funds on his films like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. An excerpt from her notes could be read as:
“Shame on you Karan Johar for making the same film nth time … calling yourself the flag bearer of Indian cinema and perpetually regressing it …. Don’t waste funds it’s not easy time for the Industry, retire now and let young filmmakers make new and revolutionary films."
