Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh showcased their wedding video when they appeared together on Koffee With Karan 8, leaving everyone in awe of them. As the duo graced the first episode of this season, they ensured to do it with a bang. Deepika and Ranveer's wedding video melted everyone's hearts in no time, as it was so precious and memorable. However, now the show's host, Karan Johar spilled some beans on the same.
During a recent press conference, Karan Johar opened up about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's appearance on Koffee With Karan 8 and revealed that it was the duo's idea to share their heart-warming wedding video on the show. Talking about the same, the filmmaker revealed that he had never asked Deepika and Ranveer to share their wedding video. He said:
“It was their idea to share it with us. I was very touched and very grateful to both Ranveer and Deepika for not only sharing it with me but the entire world, a very private part of their lives. Those four minutes are possibly the most precious 4 minutes of Koffee With Karan and its entire team.”

Speaking along the same lines, Karan Johar mentioned that Ranveer and Deepika were very generous when they decided to share their wedding video after many years of their marriage. The filmmaker added that it was the first time on Koffee With Karan that he got much more than what he bargained for. In his words:
“It takes a large and very generous heart to share the way they did because they did it after many years of their marriage. And it could have easily not been shared, I have never asked for it and I got it. I feel this is the first time on Koffee With Karan where I got much more than I bargained for.”
During her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8, Deepika Padukone shed some light on her dating days with Ranveer Singh and revealed that she didn't commit to him until he proposed to her, due to her difficult past relationships. Talking about their casual relationship, the actress said that even if they were seeing other people, they would keep coming back to each other. Deepika further shared that whenever she met other people, at the back of her head, she knew she was committed to Ranveer. And her revelation irked many netizens, making the actress a target of trolls.

While Deepika and Ranveer didn't react to the trolling, the show's host, Karan Johar seemingly addressed the trolling the couple was receiving for their latest appearance on KWK. On October 29, 2023, the host of Koffee With Karan Season 8, Karan hosted an Instagram Live session to talk about the buzz around the eighth season of his show. During the session, the filmmaker tried to teach the trolls a lesson and slammed them by indirectly stating the negative impacts of trolling. Karan said:
“Do what you need to do because no one’s looking. Trolling gets you nowhere. You are landing nowhere.”
