Karan Johar is one of the most renowned film directors and producers in Bollywood. He is lovingly called KJo by his family and close friends in B-town. He has helmed some binge-worthy movies for the Hindi film industry, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Student of The Year, among others. Talking about his personal life, the ace director had welcomed two beautiful kids, Roohi and Yash, via surrogacy. Now, Karan has disclosed what he had received from his two little munchkins on his 50th birthday bash, which had eventually left him in tears.
For those who don't know, on May 25, 2022, Karan had turned a year wiser, and he had thrown a grand star-studded party to celebrate the special day. From Kareena Kapoor Khan-Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Abhishek Bachchan to Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal, all the Bollywood biggies were invited at KJos birthday bash. For the night, Karan had donned a blingy green coat paired with a white shirt and black pants. And the stunning pictures from his 50th birthday party had taken the internet by storm.

In a recent conversation with Film Companion, Karan Johar revealed the one special gift he had received from his two little ones, Roohi and Yash, on his 50th birthday. The director mentioned that his five-year-old kids had surprised him by performing on his favourite son, Dafli Wale, from the film, Sargam. KJo also shared that during his childhood, he used to follow Jaya Prada's steps and not Rishi Kapoor's steps while grooving to the song, and his father had no problem with it. In his words:
"You know what my kids' present to me... they are five and a half and they know how obsessed I am with 'Dafli Wale' as it goes back to my childhood...as a child, I don't think my father even realised that whenever he asked me to dance on this song, I wasn't doing Rishi Kapoor's steps as I used to Jaya Prada's steps and he was fine with it that his son is performing to those dance steps...That song is a big part of my childhood."
Further in the interview, Karan shared that he still doesn't know who had suggested his kids, Roohi and Yash to perform on Dafli Wale, but he was touched and could not hold on to his tears. Sharing how his children had forgotten the steps and beats while performing, Karan said:
"I am in love and obsessed with this song...So, when my children wanted to give me a present...I don't know who suggested it to them but they actually rehearsed on the steps of 'Dafli Wale' and they made me sit down and I had tears coming down my eyes because my two children who had made such an effort that they had a dance teacher who taught them this and they performed to 'Dafli Wale'. Of course, they forgot the steps and beats were off but the love was intact."

Earlier, in an interview on the show, Social Media Star With Janice, Karan had shared how he had started making fun videos with his munchkins since the lockdown. He had further mentioned that his darling daughter, Roohi is obsessed with her own videos, and she often searches for her name on Youtube. Karan could be quoted as saying:
"It all started during the lockdown because we all were sitting at home and there was nothing that anyone was doing and I put out one video and I just felt like it brought a lot of joyousness because the kids are cute and all. But now, I want to tell you that it's quite strange and hilarious that Roohi is addicted to her own videos. She goes on to YouTube and types Roohi Johar and she stares at it…I think she has become a bit of a megalomaniac."
