Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were the first ones to grace Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. The couple won hearts as they opened up about their love story and shared their wedding video for the first time. However, Ranveer and Deepika were also trolled on social media for their honest revelations about their relationship and received a lot of flak. Now, Karan Johar reacted to the same.
In the recent Koffee With Karan episode, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur graced the couch. During the same, Karan Johar decided to open up about the Deepika-Ranveer fiasco on KWK and revealed that the negative reactions angered him. Addressing the first episode of the season, Karan said:
“I felt that it was one of the most honest episodes and the most heartfelt episodes I did with Deepika and Ranveer. I think all three of kind of came clean on so much of our emotional heft, so many of our feelings. And then there was a ridiculous kind of after effect. I just want to put it out there that episode angered me, and the reaction angered me. I thought it was one of our best episodes.”

Speaking along the same lines, Karan Johar praised Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and revealed that they were honest and earnest. Giving back to the trolls, KJo said that it irked him when people were talking nonsense about the couple and shared that he wanted to show his middle finger to them. He added:
“They were outstandingly honest. They were earnest. They spoke so much. They shared so much. They were so gracious. And then you're f*cking talking about some nonsense. I am like, ‘What do you know about somebody else’s personal life and marriage?' 'Tu apne ghar pe dekh na' is what I wanted to tell them. I wanted to show them my f*cking middle finger! I am like, you know, just shut up.”
Speaking about trolls, Karan Johar shared that he is often trolled for his sexuality. However, the filmmaker added that the trolls don't even spare his kids, Yash and Roohi, and his mom, Hiroo Johar. Hitting back at the trolls, he said:
"They're talking to me about my sexuality, they talk to me about being a single parent, they bring up my kids, that one really f******. They talk about my mother having raised me not well enough to take that decision right. I'm like who the f*** are you."

During her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8, Deepika Padukone shed some light on her dating days with Ranveer Singh and revealed that she didn't commit to him until he proposed to her, due to her difficult past relationships. Talking about their casual relationship, the actress said that even if they were seeing other people, they would keep coming back to each other. Deepika further shared that whenever she met other people, at the back of her head, she knew she was committed to Ranveer. And her revelation irked many netizens, making the actress a target of trolls.
