And now, Karan Johar made a candid revelation about Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding.
In an interaction with his fans during a recent live session he hosted on his IG handle, Karan Johar made a candid comment about Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding. For the unversed, the filmmaker has collaborated with the actress on a few films of her, including Ittefaq and Kalank. While he didn’t attend the wedding, Karan lauded the happy couple’s choice for a simple, yet intimate celebration, without the whims and fancies of extravaganza. Moreover, he called Sonakshi the coolest bride ever and expressed:
“You know what I loved about Sonakshi was that she was the coolest bride. She was cool. Zaheer and Sonakshi looked lovely. They looked happy; they looked gorgeous. And there were no frills and fancies; it was just pure love and fun. And that’s what I loved about their wedding. And I loved the way she looked. So much love for her.”

Well, Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar do share a special equation, and it is not only limited to the boundaries of a filmmaker and actor, but in many ways, like a mentor and friend. A special proof of the same was also found in the actress’ reception, since Sonakshi opted to wear exquisite jewellery pieces on her special day from Karan Johar’s jewellery brand, Tyaani. For the unversed, Sonakshi looked resplendent in a red chand-buta silk saree, and paired with a matching 3/4th blouse. She accessorised herself with an exquisite emerald, diamond and polki choker from the luxury brand, that also included matching earrings.
Ever since the news about Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal surfaced, internet had been abuzz with reports that suggested that several members of the Sinha family were unhappy with the actress’ decision. However, back on June 27, 2024, the diva dropped her wholesome wedding video that simply dismissed all such rumours. Sonakshi’s registered wedding with Zaheer saw both of their family members and their friends coming together to celebrate their union. Along with it, the couple penned a joint caption, which read as:
“Family, friends, love, friendship, laughter, silly comments, kids running around, happy tears, excitement, bloopers, screeches, fun, joy, anticipation, nerves, emotions and above all just pure happiness this was our chaotic little Shaadi ka ghar… and it was PERFECT… it was US.”

Back on June 26, 2024, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal made their first appearance post-marriage, as they stepped out for a family dinner date. The newlyweds looked madly-in-love, while they held hands and posed for the shutterbugs. While Sonakshi looked gorgeous in a red-hued three-piece dress, Zaheer, looked dashing in a simple white shirt with black trousers.
