Karan Veer Mehra’s first marriage was with a girl named Devika, whom he met in school. Since Devika was the most popular girl in school, Karan had a tough time winning her over since many other boys too wanted to be friends with her. Karan and Devika became friends and gradually fell in love.
The two dated for almost 10 years, and one fine day, Karan proposed to Devika for marriage, and she promptly said yes. The duo had an intimate wedding in 2009 in the presence of their family and close relatives. Though their respective parents were shocked with their sudden decision to get married, but were happy for them.

Karan Veer Mehra enjoys a huge fan following, but when his female fans got to know about his marital status, it came as a shock to them. Though Karan hardly discussed anything related to his personal life, the actor once revealed that he never hid the truth about his marital status from anyone.
Though Karan and Devika were childhood sweethearts, they started facing issues in their marriage. Soon after their marriage, Devika, too, joined the entertainment industry, and it was the beginning of their relationship getting strained. Karan felt that Devika’s priorities changed soon after she became a part of the entertainment world. In 2018, the duo got divorced, and it was Karan who stated that their decision to get married was taken in haste.
Once in a throwback interview with The Times of India, Karan Veer Mehra revealed the reason behind his divorce from Devika. Talking about the same, Karan said that he started to feel that he was not on her priority list. He also confessed to being linked to his co-stars. In his words:
“Consequently, our equations changed and I got linked to actresses, actors and creative producers, and it was the beginning of the end. The flip side of this early success was that I became reckless — reckless enough to take a serious step like marriage without any thought. I decided on marriage within a day and she also agreed, though we had fought just the previous evening."
During his stay in the Bigg Boss house, Karan revealed why his marriage to Devika broke and revealed that their relationship couldn’t withstand the pressures of the glamour world. Speaking about the same, he said:
“Maybe we weren't meant to be. Our 10-year friendship and eight-year marriage couldn't withstand the glamour world's pressures."
After his divorce from Devika, Karan Veer Mehra married actress, Nidhi Seth in 2021, but that too ended in divorce in 2023.
