Kareena Kapoor Posts Throwback Photo Of Saif And Karisma For Latter's Birthday, 'Tough Year For..'

Karisma Kapoor is one of the most loved actresses in Indian cinema. Her sass and style are known by all, and there is truly no one else like her. The actress turned 51 on June 25, 2025, and while it has been a tough month for 'Lolo', her sister, Kareena, is here to cheer her up with a heartfelt post. Karisma Kapoor recently lost her husband and the father of her children, Samaira and Kiaan, Sunjay, to a sudden and untimely cardiac arrest.

It was on June 25, 2025, when Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture of her sister, Karisma Kapoor and her husband, Saif Ali Khan. The sisters have shared a close bond, and it has been evident in how they have shown up for each other in their time of need. However, they not only mourn together but also celebrate together. So, for her 51st birthday, Kareena has wished her toughest sister all the strength and happiness. 

Kareena Kapoor shared a throwback picture of Karisma and Saif Ali Khan. Karisma looked like a diva in a floral halter neck top with a black bow and matching sunglasses. Saif looked dapper in his black pantsuit with pink accents. The actor was in his 'French beard' era at the time, and the candid showed how strong the bond between the duo was and how comfortable they were in each other's company. Along with the picture, Kareena penned a heartfelt text for Karisma as well.

The Laal Singh Chadha actress revealed that it was her favourite picture of Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor. She called the latter the strongest and best person and acknowledged the tough year they had. However, in a very 'Bebo' way, she found the silver lining in the same and shared that tough times were only temporary. She was quoted as saying:

"This is my most favourite picture of you both. To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe…It's been a tough year for us…but you know what…as they say, tough times don't last…the toughest sisters do…To my Sister, my mother, my best friend…Happy birthday, My Lolo. @therealkarismakapoor."

Karisma Kapoor lost her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, earlier this month

According to close sources, Sunjay Kapur was playing polo at the Guards Polo Club in London, United Kingdom, when he felt it difficult to breathe and was suffocated mid-game. He requested to stop the game and then left the ground. Soon, he suffered a heart attack and died. An insider also revealed that Sunjay Kapur reportedly swallowed a bee, and it could be that the bee sting in his throat, which caused a heart attack. It is worth noting that Sunay Kapur had a polo team called 'Aureus', in which he served as a patron. The businessman was playing against 'Sujan', a team led by the hotelier, Jaisal Singh. A picture of the businessman was shared by the 'Aureus' on their Instagram handle soon after his death.
