Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s infamous catfight was one of the most talked about topics among the gossipmongers back in the day. Being successful contemporaries, the leading ladies were often pitted against one another for many reasons. The rivalry reportedly started when Priyanka started dating Shahid Kapoor, who was Kareena’s ex-boyfriend. However, the duo later made a joint appearance on the show, Koffee With Karan and brushed aside their differences.
Once, during a media interaction, Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked if working abroad makes an actor a bigger brand. The question was directed at Priyanka Chopra and her shift towards Hollywood. However, Kareena straight away replied with a firm no. She further said that if a person goes to work in abroad, it doesn't mean anything and said:

The actress further said that she doesn't know if an actor's income changes when they work abroad. However, she also mentioned that an actor's brand value depends on their personality and the quality and quantity of work they deliver. In Kareena's words:
“To I don’t know, it’s the same thing. Ki aap Hollywood mein kaam kar rahe ho yaa yahaan aap kar rahe ho, I think your brand value is as much as you deliver, and I think it is as much as your personality is. Har ek brand ki ek personality hoti hai.”
Earlier, in an interview with Mid-Day, Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked about the frequent catfights between leading divas in the 90s. She was also asked to throw light on her infamous rivalry with Priyanka Chopra. Responding to the same, Kareena mentioned that back then, people purposely pitted the leading ladies against one another. Speaking about her ill-will with Priyanka, Kareena said that it was immature of her to indulge in such a rubbish feud. In her words:
“Oh God! The ’90s were full of it, the ’90s started, and in 2000, everyone was having a catfight. Kuch bhi bol do and catfight. All rubbish. I was like, what is going on? But I think maybe we all had that energy- you know, some sort of thing where we were all wanting to just prove ourselves. But I don’t think that attitude lasted, and you kind of learn through that.”
