Kareena Kapoor’s past relationship with Shahid Kapoor is a tale known to everybody. Considered as one of the hottest couples back in those days, the duo used to paint the town red with their mushy camaraderie. Not just in real life, but Kareena and Shahid were one of the most-loved pairs on-screen as well, and gave off some blockbuster hits such as Jab We Met, Fida, Chup Chup Ke, 36 China Town among so many others. However, due to reasons best known to them, their relationship did not see completion and they parted ways. Fast forward to now, Kareena is happily married to Saif Ali Khan, whereas Shahid Kapoor is in a blissful marriage with his wife, Mira Rajput.
A Reddit user recently shared an old clip of Kareena Kapoor when she graced the talk show, Koffee With Karan. The particular clip focussed on the moment where Bebo expressed her undying love for her then-beau, Shahid Kapoor, and even happily admitted that she turned vegetarian after taking inspiration from him. She also revealed how her father, Randhir Kapoor was totally annoyed by such a change in her lifestyle. She could be heard as saying:
“Yes I have. My father is really upset. He’s horrified in the sense he’s like what is this? Why aren’t you eating the payas and the jungley muttons? And I was like, well, that’s me now.”

In the same clip, Kareena was then asked by Karan if like her giving up her fondness for non-vegetarian food, whether Shahid too has given up on something too dear to him. In her response, Kareena simply mentioned that she does not want Shahid to give up anything for her. In her words:
“Well, I don’t want him to give up anything for me because he’s amazing just the way that he is.”
As soon as the video was re-shared, it became viral in no time, and eagle-eyed netizens were quick to express their views on the same. Well, the clip received a mixed response from the netizens, as people pointed out how Kareena always had the habit of giving everything up when it came to her relationships. Yet another section of netizens also heaped lots of love as they recalled the blissful and lovey-dovey phase of Shahid and Kareena’s relationship, and wished for them to make a comeback on-screen.
Well, there is no exaggeration to say that Shahid and Kareena’s unexpected breakup had shattered the hearts of their fans, who were sanguine to see the couple walk down the aisle in their lives. However, nothing of the sort ever happened, and eventually, Kareena was the first one to move on in life with Saif Ali Khan. But this move of hers definitely hurt Shahid, and he once expressed the same in an old interview with The Times Of India. He had mentioned:
“It will be dishonest to say that this doesn't affect me. I am human, it hurts to see and read this all the time."

In one of his earlier interviews with Bollywood Bubble, during the promotion of his film, Bloody Daddy, Shahid was asked to reveal the one thing he would want to steal from his ex-girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor. To this, he heaped praises on Bebo and revealed how she always had the qualities of a superstar in her, right from the beginning.
