Soon after, Malaika Arora, accompanied by her sister, Amrita Arora, and brother-in-law, Shakeel Ladak, was spotted arriving at Karisma’s house. Sunjay Kapur dies at 53

Merely hours after the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, the industry got another heartbreak when news broke about Sunjay Kapur’s sudden and untimely demise. As per reports, Sunjay suffered a fatal heart attack while playing polo in the UK. The news was confirmed by businessman-author Suhel Seth, who posted a condolence message on X (formerly Twitter). His post can be read as:

"Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England. A terrible loss. Deepest condolences to his family and colleagues @sonacomstar… Om Shanti.”

Shockingly enough, just hours before his demise, Sunjay had posted a message expressing grief over the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed several lives. Sunjay Kapur’s final message on his social media was a tweet praying for the deceased and their families. The late industrialist wrote:

"Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour. #planecrash"

Karisma and Sunjay’s married life

Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur tied the knot in 2003 in a high-profile wedding. The couple is parents to two children, a daughter, Samaira and a son, Kiaan. In 2014, the couple separated and got officially divorced in 2016. Sunjay later married model, Priya Sachdev, with whom he shares a son.
