Karisma Kapoor Dons Playful 'Gajji' Silk 'Kurta' Worth Rs 33K For 'Bhabhi', Alia Bhatt's Baby Shower

Karisma Kapoor, the actor behind every trending 90s fashion, has been on the top of her style game since the beginning. Over the decades, we have seen how the diva has shifted her sartorial choices from shimmer and glitter to elegant and classic attires. The 48-year-old knows how to keep her dressing sense sophisticated yet trendy, leaving her millennial fans in awe. 

Be it vibrant yellows, monochromatic pieces, mixed prints, relaxed silhouettes or floral summer dresses, Karisma’s wardrobe is worth stealing. On the professional front, the timeless beauty is a proud single mother of two kids, Samaira and Kiaan.

For her bhabhi, Alia Bhatt’s baby shower ceremony, which was on Dusshera, Karisma Kapoor opted for a bright festive look. Keeping it chic, she wore a printed yellow kurta set, which was made using Gajji silk. It featured beautiful beadwork and a hand-embroidered motif. Moreover, she layered it with a pink organza dupatta, adorned with intricate zari and thread-work with beads. In addition, she tied her hair in a sleek ponytail and wore sunnies and gold drop earrings.

The touch of popping colours like yellow, green and pink gave Karisma a playful look, which she wanted for the festive season. Upon doing some research, we found out that the kurta set was crafted in Jaipur, India and from the brand, Jodi. Earlier, Karisma had styled a sky blue and white-hued Suvi dress, featuring romantic floral prints and long bell sleeves. The best part was that Karisma's incredible dress also had pockets. Taking the 'less is more' route, the actress opted for subtle makeup with thin strokes of eyeliner, rosy cheeks and cherry red lips. Upon doing some research, we found out that the dress was from the shelves of ace designer, Anita Dongre, and it was priced at Rs. 16,900.
