The 1994 comedy film, Andaz Apna Apna featured Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Raveena Tandon in lead roles. Although the Rajkumar Santoshi-directed film did not work at the box office when it was released, now it is hailed as one of the cult classics. The camaraderie amongst the leads is quite clearly translated on the screen, but, as per several reports, none of the lead actors were on talking terms back then.
In an old interview with Rajeev Masand, Karisma Kapoor revealed that the four lead actors, Aamir, Salman, Raveena and herself, were not on talking terms while Andaz Apna Apna was being shot. Recalling the shooting days, Karisma said:
“In Andaz Apna Apna, there was a time when none of the actors were talking to each other. This cult film was made with all of us not even speaking to each other. It’s quite funny.”

Rajeev Masand chipped in and said that Raj Santoshi had recounted the climax scene of Andaz Apna Apna, where Raveena and Karisma were tied to a pillar. The director of the film confirmed to Rajeev that the two lead actresses were not talking to each other during the filming of the scene. Karisma further added:
“We were not, and I have to tell you guys that we were shooting for morning 7’o clock in Film City and I remember I was shooting for the song, ‘Meri pant bhi sexy’ and Raveena was shooting for some other movie, and then we had another shift, and we would walk past each other in the corridors, and look at each other like that.”

In another interview with the Hindustan Times, Raveena Tandon shared that the situation on the sets of Andaz Apna Apna used to be quite tense. The actress revealed that despite the discord between the four leads, she had fun while they were shooting for the film. Calling themselves good actors, Raveena said:
"It was fun as while we were shooting, none of us were speaking to each other. Sabke jhagade chal rahe the. Aamir and Salman weren’t talking to each other. Karisma and I weren’t talking, and neither were Salman and Rajji (Rajkumar Santoshi). I don’t know how that film got made. But, it shows we are damn good actors."
In the same interview, Raveena also revealed she and Karisma were tied to a pillar while they were shooting the climax scene. After the scene was over, the director of the film refused to untie the two actresses and urged them to start talking to one another.
