As the year draws to a close, she announced the good news with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, in a social media post, revealing that they are expecting a baby girl in May 2026. Who is Nicholas Riccio? 

According to People and earlier details shared by Karoline, her husband, Nicholas, is a real estate developer based in New Hampshire who has built his career independently. The 60-year-old was raised in Hudson, New Hampshire. He once shared with the Sunday Herald that he used to attend school at Plymouth State University and later entered the real estate sector after facing initial financial challenges. Over time, Nicholas has established an impressive Ricco Enterprises, owning several and renting several commercial and residential properties in Hampton Beach. 

Unlike Karoline, he has been away from politics and media attention. Nicholas prefers to lead a more private life with no social media presence. Karoline has called him her "biggest supporter" on numerous occasions. During her stint on The Megyn Kelly Show in February 2025, she admitted that their bond invited a lot of attention due to her post and 32-year age gap. But she clarified that the 60-year-old Nicholas has brought stability to their bond. Although her parents were initially hesitant about the bond, they soon came around. "He's built a very successful business himself, so now he's fully supportive of me building my success."

She happened to cross paths with Nicholas through a mutual friend, and despite her loss to Democrat Chris Pappas, it paved the way for a new chapter in her personal life. The duo became friends and gradually fell into love. Although Karoline admits they have an "atypical" love story, she maintains that their marriage is based on shared values, trust and unconditional support.

Karoline Leavitt and Nicholas Riccio got engaged in 2023 and tied the knot in January 2025, just days before President Donald Trump took the oath of office. They welcomed their second son, Nicholas "Nico' Robert Riccio, in July 2024. Karoline had famously cut her maternity leave short to return to work following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Now, the couple is all set and excited to welcome their child, due in May 2025.
