Karan Aaryan has achieved immense success in recent years with multiple hits that also impressed critics. Consequently, it's unsurprising that everything related to him makes headlines, and his bond with filmmaker, Karan Johar is one such aspect. The latter, who has repeatedly been accused of supporting star kids, was criticized when he announced that he was shelving a film with Karan Aaryan. Since their bond soured, multiple theories behind the same made headlines. However, recently, the two revealed that they are collaborating on a new film, and now Kartik has opened up about his bond with the filmmaker in a new interview.
Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar used to share a great bond until they parted ways from a project. Still, they continued to share cordial bonds and attended the same events. So, in a recent interview with SCREEN, the actor was shown this photo and asked to share his views. Kartik went silent and laughed, mentioning that he didn't know what to say about it. However, he felt it aptly explained his bond with the filmmaker and said:
"I think yeh love and hate relationship hai… Bahut ache yeh photo represent karti hai.”
He recalled that the picture was clicked when they signed their first collaboration on the film, Dostana 2, with Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor. Kartik added humor to his response and added that maybe Karan knew what was supposed to happen, so he took it beforehand, hinting at the film later being shelved over creative differences.
Since fans were excited to witness Kartik Aryan and Karan Johar's collaboration on Dostana 2, they were disappointed when their film couldn't see the light of day. But, in the same conversation, Aaryan assured his fans that his next titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, backed by Karan's Dharma Productions, would be released. He said:
"Abhi main inke sath film kar raha hu. And hum sath mein kar rahe hain yeh film and I hope yeh film toh hogi. Yeh film main puri tarah karunga and voh bhi puri tarah karenge yeh film.”
Kartik Aryan was last seen in the hit film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-starring Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. The actor will be next seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans, is scheduled for release in 2026. He also has a romantic film with Anurag Basu in the pipeline.
