Kartik was vacationing in Goa when his identical photos with a 'mystery girl' went viral on social media. With similar backgrounds, people started assuming that the two were in a relationship. Karina Kubiliute reportedly has Lithuanian origins and was raised in the United Kingdom, mainly in the Carlisle area. Other reports also suggested that she has also lived in Greece.

Soon after Kartik’s picture with Karina surfaced, Internet users alleged that she is an 18-year-old, citing a viral picture from a high school graduation in 2024. Many reports also claimed that most of her friends are either 18 or about to turn 18. Soon after Karina’s age surfaced, Kartik faced huge trolling for his huge age gap with the girl.

In an interview with Raj Shamani, Kartik addressed his dating rumours, saying he was not dating anyone and felt unlucky in love. Speaking about the same, he said:

“Because of your work, you meet a very limited number of people. Your day goes in that zone. It becomes like that. You might earn a lot, and become famous, but one thing is for sure that you can’t buy love…. I’m not dating anyone. I’m even called romantic hero, but I have been unlucky in love. So, I feel I have to find the right person whenever that happens."
