Kartik Aaryan's journey to become one of the leading stars in Bollywood is nothing short of a plot for an entertaining Hindi films. He has often revealed how he came to Mumbai under her pretext of studies and used Facebook to find audition opportunities. Despite being clueless about how he would continue on his path ahead to be an actor, the actor never backed out from trying his hand at different auditions. So, the actor who now aims to become the No. 1 actor in the country recently revealed why he continued giving audiences despite facing continuous rejections.
Kartik Aaryan, who has always been honest about the challenges he faced in his acting career, recently sat down for an interview with SCREEN. The actor who used to bunk his college lectures and go for auditions mentioned that he received rejections, but that didn't deter him from trying again because he knew no other way. He understood that many others were living with the same dreams as him, and he was serious about giving it a shot. Kartik explained:
"I didn't know what were my possibilities, but I just wanted to give it a try. After nearly four years, I bagged my first role. I feel grateful for the opportunity. Aadat hogayi thi, besharam hogaya tha.”
The Shehzada actor added he was rejected for multiple reasons but gradually developed a thick skin. He knew he had to show up daily and believed in himself even when he felt no one trusted his ambition. Aaryan knew he didn't have anything to lose and rather decided to have excessive confidence in himself as he thought that rejecting him was the loss of others. Eventually, he debuted with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which made him an overnight sensation. Kartik stated:
"It is important to believe in yourself and work hard. They both go hand-in-hand. I am also someone who used to believe in manifestation. I used to write it up and manifest my goal. Eventually, everything fell in place."
Kartik Aaryan grew up in a middle-class background and convinced his parents to allow him to move to Mumbai to study. During his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show with his mom, he shared that he used to live with 12 guys, with 4 in each room. The Chandu Champion actor recalled that some wanted to be writers or directors, and others were keen to become actors. His roommates knew about his ambition but believed he was doing a biotech internship until he showed them his debut film's trailer.
Kartik Aaryan had a successful year in 2024 with two major releases, including Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He will be next seen in Karan Johar's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Teri Tu Mera and Anurag Basu's Aashiqui 3.
