The actress took to Instagram to share the happy news of her impending parenthood with husband Vicky Kaushal. Thousands of congratulatory messages filled the comment section of the post. The pregnancy must have brought immense joy to Katrina as she previously revealed how much becoming a mom meant to her.

The couple held a black and white Polaroid in their hands, which featured the actress flaunting her baby bump. Both Vicky and Katrina were looking at the bump with heart eyes, eager to welcome the little one into the world. The post exuded love and warmth, garnering immense affection from fans. Vicky and Katrina captioned the post with a heartfelt message, calling the pregnancy the 'best chapter' of their lives. The caption can be read as:

How important is motherhood to Katrina Kaif?

Having a complete family, including a husband and kids, is 'very important' to Katrina Kaif. The Ek Tha Tiger actress revealed the same in an interview with Cosmopolitan India over a decade ago. Katrina had this viewpoint back in 2010, when she wasn't even a married woman. The desire to start a family always remained in her heart. She dreamed of a day when she would be part of a small and happy family with her husband and children. Regarding that, she shared:

"I belong to that mindset where having a husband and children are very important. I dream of being married and having kids and living happily ever after. That's me"

Katrina Kaif's desire for parenthood might have stemmed from her broken family

In 2019, Katrina discussed her views on parenthood, which were shaped by her own upbringing. Having been raised by a single mother after her parents' separation, she told Filmfare that it did create a 'vacuum' in he life. She further stated that she wouldn't want the same for her children when she takes on the venture of motherhood. She wanted a complete family for a proper, healthy upbringing of her children. Her kids would be raised with love by both parents, as per her. Her exact words were:

"Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents".

As Katrina's life is set to be complete with her first child being on the way, it fills our hearts with joy. The news delighted fans, who noted that her long-held dream was coming true. Notably, whenever the actress opened up about motherhood, she used a plural term to refer to her future kids. It might indicate that the actress doesn't plan on stopping at one child. Neither she nor her husband, Vicky Kaushal, is an only child. Katrina has seven siblings, while Vicky has one younger brother, Sunny Kaushal.
