Katrina Kaif has a beautiful bond with her husband, Vicky Kaushal, and a great equation with her mom-in-law, Veena Kaushal. The actress, often spends quality time with her saasu maa. Katrina not only looks gorgeous but also has great skin and silky smooth hair. The secret behind Kat's long and flowy tresses is out, and it has to do with a ghar ka nuska, by her MIL.
Katrina, in a recent interview with the Screen, revealed that she is not someone who likes to apply makeup at home. Apart from having her own beauty line which is successful, Katrina revealed her haircare secret. It is taken care of by her mom-in-law, Veena who makes a homemade oil for her hair. In her words:
"I’m equally passionate about skincare, because I have very sensitive skin. I enjoy fun routines, like the gua sha. I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve just started using it and it’s amazing. My mother-in-law also makes me this hair oil with onion, amla, avocado and two-three other ingredients. Home remedies are incredibly powerful too.”
Going ahead in the interview, Katrina who is lovingly known as 'Kitto' by her in-laws, feels blessed to have found a partner like Vicky. She said that he never fights with her and she added by saying that he is very adjusting and understanding.
It was on December 16, 2024, when Katrina had a spiritual retreat with her mom-in-law, Veena Kaushal. They both had gone to seek the blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba. The actress took the blessings at the temple and showed that she was the perfect bahu of the Kaushal khandaan. Even the official Instagram handle of Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi shared pictures and videos of the actress with her mom-in-law, offering prayers at the sacred place.
For the spiritual outing, Katrina was seen wearing a simple ivory kurta that she teamed with the same-coloured dupatta and flared palazzos. She put the dupatta on her head as a mark of respect and offered prayers. Veena was seen wearing a simple salwar kameez.

Katrina has always praised her in-laws. It was on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show back in 2022 when she said that Veena made the sweetest sweet potatoes and also took care of her unique diet. Katrina said:
"Initially Mummy ji used to urge me to have a lot to have parathas, and since I’m on a diet I couldn’t have them. So I used to just have a bite. And, now that we have almost completed a year of our marriage, mummy ji now prepares sweet potatoes for me. My in-laws call me Kitto with love."
Katrina also added that her devar, Sunny Kaushal, along with her mom and dad-in-law, are incredible. She loved how Vicky gave unconditional love and respect to his family and also nurtured his relationship with her. In her words:
"If this is the kind of respect, loyalty and the importance he gives to his family, this is the same respect, importance he is going to give to his family when he is married.”
