2018 was indeed a year of new friendships and relationships in B-town. At a place where everything’s uncertain, from who’s going to be best of friends forever, will their ‘truly-deeply-madly’ love continue till eternity to hating exes, the Tinseltown is difficult for aam janta to apprehend. While we try and avoid parties where we are expecting awkward bumps into our ex, celebrities from the Tinseltown not only show us how to be normal around exes but be friends with them too. And when we talk about having cordial relationship with exes, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor get a must mention! But what piques our interest is the pentagon between Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. While Deepika and Ranbir are the most cordial exes ever seen in B-town, her bond with her ex’s boyfriend’s girlfriend, Alia is like they're some long lost sisters. Ranbir and Ranveer too share a mutual admiration for each other. The love between these four was quite evident at the recent award functions. But it did make us wonder how does Ranbir’s other ex, Katrina fits in this group?
At the 64th Filmfare Awards, the madly-in-love couples, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh were all seated together and were hanging out like their past doesn’t matter to them. And guess who had bumped into them? It was none other than Ranbir’s ex, Katrina Kaif! Katrina happily greeted her ex, Ranbir and his girlfriend, Alia, who is also her ex-best friend. Rumours were rife that things are not fine between once-besties, Alia and Katrina as the former began dating latter’s ex, Ranbir. Speculations also suggested that Katrina and Ranbir also have a cold war going on between them. But after 64th Filmfare Awards, seems like those were just a mere hoax!

Speaking about the same in an interview with DNA, Katrina Kaif bared her heart out on maintaining equations with her colleagues, some of whom she shared a past with including Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina said, “I will tell you something important. A certain thing is already playing out in a certain manner. My reaction to it makes no difference. I can sit here and feel anger and bitterness. I can make myself unhappy. Or I can take into consideration that, how miserable I am, makes no difference to anyone else. So, instead, I can lighten my own burden and say — let me be happy and at peace. And what is meant for me, will come my way.” (Also Read: Neetu Kapoor Had Asked Ranbir Kapoor To Move In With Alia Bhatt? Isn't She The Best Soon-To-Be-MIL?)
Clarifying that she has gone through her own share of pain and angst, Katrina Kaif doesn't see any point in holding the grudges from the past and believes in letting bygones be bygones. The Bharat star stated, “I’m not trying to be Ms Goody Two Shoes. I’m not some extra-terrestrial being. I do go through my own share of pain and angst. But I see no point in holding a grudge. Whoever it is (no names taken), I don’t see the point of holding on to anything unpleasant from the past. I would rather let bygones be bygones. I don’t think anyone is out there to hurt me. People are trying to do the best for you. But, sometimes, in trying to do the best for you, you get hurt. Too bad. However, I would rather have a friend than an enemy.”
Katrina Kaif added, “Believe me, I would genuinely prefer having a friend than an enemy. I like to laugh, I like talking to people. I like hanging out with people. Under the circumstances, I see no point in staying aloof. I believe in making friends.” Riding on a professional high, Katrina is undoubtedly one of the most eligible ‘singles’ of the Tinseltown. During the promotions of her film, Zero, she had opened up about her life, relationship status, marriage and kids in interviews.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Katrina Kaif had opened up about how she had planned out her life and how it has turned to be. Revealing the same, she had shared, “It was on my mind but it didn't work out and you have to keep following the path set for you in life. I don't stress about it now. I fought that battle and am at peace with the fact that some things didn't turn out the way I had hoped for. Now, I've left it to the universe and to God because I'm sure there's a bigger hand that shapes our destiny. What's happened to me so far has been unusual and fascinating, and I can't take credit for all of it. So, whoever is responsible, will look out for me in the future too.”
She further added, “I know love will come to me at the right time when I least expect it. I could drop a book at the airport and as I bend down to pick it up someone else goes down on his hunches too, to help me. I would look up, our eyes would lock and, in that instant, love would happen!” (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra's Soon-To-Be Sis-In-Law, Ishita Kumar Recovering From Painful Surgery Before Wedding)
