Katrina had maintained a dignified stance when it comes to her former flames. In a recent interview with the Mid-Day, the actress revealed that if she could, she would have never spoken about it. She stated, "If I had my way, I would have never spoken about my relationship. I chose to talk about it because the media was interested in it. I couldn't have dodged the bullet every time. I would have sounded rude if I did that. So, the best thing was to share the bare minimum I wanted to and be frank enough to accept the reality. We [Kapoor and her] still have respect for each other, and that will not change." (Also Read: Charu Asopa Sen And Rajeev Sen Finally Reveal Their Honeymoon Plans, To Travel To An Exotic Location)
She also shared how the toughest phase of her life helped her evolve as a person. She said, "When I was going through a separation, one of my sisters was also in the same phase. That's when I realised that since my life was out in the open, the ego was more bruised, but at the end of the day, we both felt the same pain. I found solace in reading. My friends were also a strong source of support. I don't have any regrets [about that chapter]. I have come out of the experience a lot more mature."
While Katrina might have got burnt in love, she is not scared to fall in it again. In an interview, she had shared, "Love will happen when it has to. There's no sense of urgency. The time that I have spent alone has been very important to understand myself better. So, I do believe that it will happen at the right time."
In the same interview, the actress had also talked about the importance of forgiveness, and had stated, "If you keep that bitterness in your heart towards somebody, you are holding that emotion inside you, and you will experience its effects. So, even if you have been wronged, it will still be you facing those negative emotions. Also, most people are doing what they think is right for them, at that point. It's hurtful, but that's the way I see it."

Katrina had further added, "Over the last two years, I've done a lot of self-introspection. When you are single, you get to know yourself more and discover the things that you like. Apart from that, workwise, it has been a really satisfying year for me. I've enjoyed being on the sets again because there was a phase where I wasn't super inspired. But 2017 has been creatively satisfying for me." (Don't Miss: Neeti Mohan And Nihaar Pandya Are Honeymooning After 4 Months Of Their Wedding, Pictures Inside)
