Kaykay Menon's spy thriller, Special Ops 2, had a delayed release on July 18, 2025. It was reported that the series would be released on July 11, 2025, but with the delay of one week, the show has premiered on JioHotstar, and people cannot stop talking about it. The spy thriller was first released in 2020, and with the announcement of season 2, the audience was already excited, to the extent that after watching it, they have also asked for the next season as soon as possible. The spy thriller marked Kaykay Menon's return as the RAW agent, 'Himmat Singh', and people are just left in awe of his acting prowess.

Kaykay Menon returns as 'Himmat Singh' in Special Ops 2, only to win hearts with his intelligence to beat artificial intelligence

Kaykay Menon's role in Special Ops 2, as 'Himmat Singh' has only one aim, which is to eliminate India's enemy. In the first season, the series showed how 'Himmat Singh' relentlessly tried to prevent a threat with his global team, from a mastermind, whom he claimed to be a shadowy figure. The second season deals with an unseen threat that was created through AI.

Yes! The second season is all about 'Himmat Singh' trying to prevent the threat from the antagonist, 'Tahir Raj Bhasin', whose motive was to take over India's UPI control, thereby bringing the country to its knees. With the themes of virtual soldiers, AI-driven warfare, slaughterbots, and cyber espionage, the second season of Special Ops 2 could successfully tap into the anxiety around cyber attacks.

The plot is surely compelling, and so was Neeraj Pandey's direction. Kaykay Manon won hearts again as the RAW agent and continued in his role as someone who prevents dangers or threats. With his wit, smartness and mainly intelligence, the way he beat AI is worth every praise. For the uninitiated, there was also another season, Special Ops 1.5, which featured 'Himmat Singh' from the 90s. This season was all about understanding 'Himmat Singh' closely about how he built up his inner foundation to be an officer.

However, in this season, the way he showcased his prowess strengthened his place in the hearts of his fans. Apart from him, the antagonist played an amazing role, which not only made the season worth watching but also a remarkable one. Tota Roy Chowdhury as 'Vinod Shekhawat' also gave an amazing performance, and altogether, the series did exactly what it was expected to, leaving the audience demanding the next season soon.
