Keerthy Suresh is one of the top South Indian actresses who got married to her long time love, Antony Thattil on December 12, 2024 in Goa. The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony that had taken place in Tamil Brahmin and Malayali Christian style. Keerthy was in high school when she fell in love with Antony, and the duo were in a relationship for 15 years before they married. The Baby John actress recently revealed that Antony never forced her into marriage.
Keerthhy was in a long-distance relationship with Antony for six years. Recently, in an interview with Galatta India, she revealed that she has been very, very, very happy that her marriage with the love of her life, Antony happened. Keerthy shared that Antony had never put any pressure on her of marriage. In her words:
"It's not easy for somebody to wait so many years and you know, and he has never ever asked me when do you want to get married? He has never been forceful with anything. It was all whenever I wanted it to happen, and the way he respects women and all my friends around me. Like all my friends, he is like a proper brother, and I thank all the gods for making this happen."
Keerthy, earlier in an interview with Screen, shared that her wedding moment was surreal and was no less than a dream. She said that she can't even say it was a dream because she and Antony had nightmares of eloping, so she doesn't know if she can call it a dream. However, her heart was full, and it was a very emotional moment for them because they had always wanted this.
Keerthy was in class 12, and Antony, at that time, was working in Qatar. Despite the age gap, their love stood the test of patience, and they endured all their challenges because they were in a long-distance relationship. Keerthy shared:
"It's not like we started off very strong. We started dating when I was in my 12th (class) and he is seven years older than me. So, he was working and we had a long-distance relationship for a brief period. He Used to work in Qatar, and after four-five years (of working there) he set up his own business in Kochi, like five-six years. "distance relationship."
Keerthy has always shared that Antony has always been her rock-bottom support at every step of her life. For every girl, her dad is her superhero. And if someone else has to be a superhero after your dad, it should always be your partner, as Keerthy believed. She sees a lot of her dad in Antony, be it his principles, how he deals with people, or how he holds our entire group together.
