Kelly Clarkson has become a daytime television staple with her show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. However, after an impeccable seven-season run, the singer has decided to step away from the limelight. On February 2, 2026 (ET), Kelly announced it on her social media, marking a bittersweet moment in her career.
On Monday, Grammy and Emmy award-winning singer, Kelly Clarkson announced that her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, would come to an end after seven seasons. The show airs on weekdays at 2 p.m. on WRAL and has become one of the most-loved shows. However, now the singer has announced that she will be saying goodbye to the show. She was quoted as saying:
"I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honoured to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us."

In the same note, Kelly expressed her gratitude to her fans. However, she had to make this tough call, as she needs to prioritise her children at the moment. The singer revealed that stepping away and focusing on her personal life is extremely crucial for them. The note could be read as:
"All the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. Because of all that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives."

The Grammy-winning singer further assured her fans that this was not a goodbye, but rather a 'see you later'. She shared that she will still be making music and performing when life allows. The singer added that she will also appear on The Voice from time to time. The announcement by the singer comes months after the demise of her ex-husband and father of her children, Brandon Blackstock. She was quoted as saying:
"This isn't goodbye. I'll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time...you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y'all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years."

Kelly Clarkson first rose to fame as the first winner of the singing competition, American Idol, in 2002. Kelly went on to become a fan favourite for her impeccable voice and even secured 17 Grammy Award nominations, winning three. She later achieved television stardom as a host and coach on NBC's The Voice from 2018 to 2023. Regarding her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in 2019 and has since won eight Emmy Awards.
