Kevin Bonaldo was a 25-year-old Italian cyclist who recently passed away a month after collapsing during a race. The racing world is absolutely shocked at his untimely demise on October 24, 2025. Before his tragic passing, Kevin had established himself as a notable talent in Italian cycling, with several impressive results in national and international competitions. Kevin Bonaldo collapsed after suffering a heart attack during the final kilometres of the Piccola Sanremo race in Sovizzo, Italy, on September 21, 2025. The mishap occurred when Kevin approached the finish line and mentioned feeling unwell. He pulled over and was conscious at first, but later went into cardiac arrest while being treated in an ambulance. After being resuscitated at the scene, he was airlifted to the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza. He was placed in an intensive care unit in a medically induced coma.

In the following weeks, Kevin Bonaldo's condition showed some signs of improvement, giving his family and team hope for his recovery. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated in the final hours, and he passed away on October 24, 2025, one month after being admitted to the hospital. Kevin's team, SC Padovani Polo Cherry Bank, shared his death news, stating that the young cyclist "bravely fought between life and death" for a month before breathing his last. They were 'heartbroken' and shared the news of Kevin's demise on behalf of his family. The statement can be read as:
"The SC Padovani Polo Cherry Bank is heartbroken to announce that this morning, at the end of a month in which he bravely fought between life and death, Kevin Bonaldo has passed away. Our company wants to demonstrate its closeness to Kevin's family and all his loved ones."

Kevin Bonaldo was an Italian cyclist who competed at the continental level, primarily in national and UCI 2.2-classified stage races. Born on August 9, 2000, he began his career in junior teams before rising through the ranks of Italian continental cycling over five years. His career began in youth cycling circuits, where he honed his skills with clubs such as UC Loria, UC Giorgione, and VC Bassano. An early highlight was his second-place finish in the Italian team time trial championship as a youth cyclist, a result he repeated in 2021 with Team Qhubeka in the under-23 category.

Kevin's talent was evident early on, with success in youth categories before moving to more established teams such as Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior and Team Qhubeka. With his transition to the continental level, he became a respected fixture in national competitions, consistently delivering strong performances. His profile grew significantly during his 2025 season with the S.C. Padovani Polo Cherry Bank team, where he expanded his racing schedule and began achieving notable results on a larger stage.

Kevin's memorable career moments include a fifth-place finish in a stage of the Dookota Mazowsza in Poland and an eighth-place finish in a stage of the Belgrade-Banjaluka race. This progression demonstrated his potential, making him a promising talent in professional cycling. The 25-year-old might have achieved even higher feats gradually if his life had not been tragically cut short in October 2025.
