Khushi Kapoor has been a part of the industry since the day she was born despite only having done one film so far. The young actress is the daughter of Boney Kapoor, and the late actress, Sridevi. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the actress recently revealed how she is preparing for her upcoming release, Loveyapa.
Khushi Kapoor made her OTT debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies in 2023. Recently, the actress sat for a conversation with HT and was asked if she saw a difference between her two projects. The actress responded that she was not sure if the difference was because her first project was an OTT release, and Loveyapa will be released in theatres. However, she felt they were both very contrasting for her as the process was exceedingly different. Khushi also revealed that Loveyapa was the third film she shot, which made her feel more confident in herself.
In the same conversation, Khushi was further asked how her journey in the industry has been so far. Khushi revealed that earlier, she didn't understand the importance of perception and how people saw her outside of her work. She added that being a shy person, she mostly kept to herself during The Archies, which has since changed. She stated:
"My personality is not someone who likes to be out there, but I think I'm realising that you should put yourself out there more and be more conversive. I'm a shy person. I think now I'm being free and more confident to speak, but it's a slow process, and the more you work, the easier it gets."
Continuing the conversation, Khushi Kapoor was asked about Loveyapa being a different viewing experience. The actress responded by citing an anecdote from the trailer launch of the film. She also added that she is more stressed because there are box office numbers and many other factors to consider since the film is a theatrical release. She stated:
"During the trailer launch, when we entered the theatre and saw the trailer and some of the songs on the big screen, I was really shaking. I thought it was casual. It's just the trailer, and I've seen it. It'd be fine. But then, seeing it on the big screen, I was like, 'Oh, sh*t, this is really happening'. But I think it's special. So, I did my bit. I did my best."
In the same conversation, Khushi was asked about her experience with a 'done it all' actor like Ashutosh Rana and if she had the urge to impress him. The actress admitted to being intimidated by the veteran actor because he is senior to her and a phenomenal actor. However, she revealed that the actor was not only nice but also came up with new ideas and the willingness to try different things. She stated:

"I think my main thing was to hold my own in the scene and not just pause and break, but he was just phenomenal on set. A lot of the things he would do would be impromptu, and he would decide midway through the take, and we would get thrown off, but that would give for such a good reaction that you would want to keep going and work off of that."
