Kim Go Eun and Noh Sang Hyun have been confirmed as the protagonist for the upcoming romantic film, Love In The Big City. The Korean actress, Kim Go Eun is famous for playing lead roles in K-dramas such as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and The King: Eternal Monarch. Whereas, Noh Sang Hyun aka Steve Sanghyun, is a Korean-American actor and model seen in Dopojarak: Story of Homme the K-Wanderer and Pachinko last year.
Love In The Big City will be a romantic film based on the best-selling novel by Sang Young Park, who was nominated for both the Booker Prize and the International Dublin Literary Prize. The film will explore the lives of a free-spirited woman living with a secretive man. The movie's director, Lee Eon Hee, has previously worked on movies like The Accidental Detective 2: In Action, Missing, and Love Exposure.

Kim Go Eun is well-known for playing a wide range of characters on screen. In the upcoming film, Love In The Big City, she will play the role of ‘Jae Hee’, a brave, charming and free-spirited woman who is not afraid of expressing her feelings. The character of 'Heung Soo', who has no interest in either relationships or education, will be portrayed by Noh Sang Hyun. After 'Jae Hee' learns of his secret, 'Heung Soo' decides to co-live with her.
The production team has released pictures from the initial script reading and a statement announcing that filming has commenced on July 8, 2023. According to reports from Soompi, Kim Go Eun has expressed her enthusiasm for the role. She said:
“I am so excited about the time I will spend as Jae Hee, who has a free-spirited and bubbly. I am looking forward to working with actors who will play various characters, and I am already curious about how these interesting episodes will be showcased in the film. I will do my best to contribute to this great project.”

In the same report, Noh Sang Hyun, starring opposite Kim Go Eun, shared his excitement about his first lead role on the silver screen. He said:
“This is a project that I prepared joyfully. As much as I am working with great actors and staff, I will do my best to make a great project until the end.”

One of Korea's most intriguing young authors, Sang Young Park makes his English-language debut with Love In The Big City. The book showcases both sides of Seoul, the glamorous nighttime one and the groggy morning as well. Korean student, 'Young', pessimistic but fun-loving, juggles between his home and the beds of Tinder hookups. He and 'Jae Hee', his flatmate and best friend, frequent the local bars to distract themselves. However, even 'Jae Hee' leaves him on his own.
South Korean actress, Kim Go Eun first appeared on-screen in the critically acclaimed movie, A Muse (2012). She works under BH Entertainment and is famous for her roles in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, The King: Eternal Monarch, Yumi's Cells, and Little Women.
Despite receiving numerous offers, she chose to take a hiatus from her career to return to school and complete her degree. Two years later, Kim returned to the big screen in the action drama, Monster (2014).
Noh Sang Hyun is a Korean-American actor, TV host, and model. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and received his degree from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He made his acting debut in the 2015 movie, The Wicked Are Alive. He has appeared in dramas such as Curtain Call, Dopojarak: Story of Homme the K-Wanderer, and Pachinko.
