Kim Kardashian And North Respond To The Criticism That They Received For The 12 YO's Finger Piercing

Kim Kardashian has been receiving high-end trolling, along with her daughter, North West. The reason for North West garnering roll-eyes, trolls and gossip was her choice of looks, including wearing a corset, opting for faux tattoos, or dermal piercing on her middle finger. North West has become the talk of the town most recently.

The main reason Kim Kardashian's daughter faced backlash was that she was only 12 years old, which didn't go down well with netizens, who on social media started questioning the same. Kim, several times, said that her daughter has a whole lot of confidence, and that could be proved by the fact that she modelled for her mom's brand, SKIMS. Well, amid this, Kim and North replied to the criticism that they faced for the latter's recent looks.

North West and Kim Kardashian react to the trolling about the former's finger piercing

Back in September 2025, netizens took to their social media handles and started sharing their views about North West opting for microdermal piercing or single-point piercing. A video was posted on TikTok, and netizens started commenting on the mom-daughter duo while slamming the SKIMS founder. Netizens, in the comment section, shared their concerns about North.

The caption of such a post could be read as, "North West getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me? What is going on #northwest #kardashians." To this, North and Kim replied from their joint TikTok account, saying, "It's Okay" with a love-hand emoticon. This makes it pretty much clear that the mom-daughter duo is unfazed about the limitless trolling they are getting for the 12-year-old's looks.

Although North West is receiving high-end trolling for her choice of looks at the age of 12, she is in no mood to take her fashionista style for granted, for some judgmental comments. At the age of 12, she recently became the face for her mom's brand, SKIMS. In the photos, she was seen flaunting her blue extensions and wearing the limited-edition holiday line for an ad campaign. Talking about the same in a press release, Kim said that, as North became the face of the campaign, there's a personal touch to the pieces.

Kim Kardashian revealed that North West actually criticised her looks

Kim Kardashian's daughter, North has a fashionista mind and she just loves to review fashion statements. North even had reviews over her mom's all pearled-up dress, when she tagged it as a 'dollar store'. While walking on the green carpet of the Met Gala 2025, Kim said that North is embodying the spirit of fashion icon, Joan Rivers.

She also mentioned that her daughter never steps back from critiquing, and she doesn't even sugarcoat her words, which the SKIMS founder loves. Talking about North's liking to rate people's fashion statements, Kim, in an interview, said that her daughter just loves critiquing, and while people can't take a 10-year-old's comments seriously, the words actually sting a little. She said:

"All North wants to do is rate people’s outfits, and she loves to critique. North is like the new Joan Rivers if you ask me. And you can’t really take it seriously, getting roasted by a 10-year-old, so I never do, but it stings a little."
