Kiran Juneja Addresses 'Home Breaker' Tag And Age-Gap With Husband, Ramesh Sippy, 'Didn't Bother..'

Ramesh Sippy and Kiran Juneja's relationship has always sparked headlines, not just for their loving bond but also for the controversies that surrounded their bond. Before his marriage to Kiran, the Sholay filmmaker was already married to Geeta Sippy with three children. But, when he met Kiran, it was love at first sight for them, and they tied the knot after Ramesh parted ways with his first wife. People were quick to tag Kiran as the 'home breaker'. Recently, after decades, Kiran Juneja has broken his silence on the matter and cleared the air around her bond with Ramesh Sippy.

Kiran Juneja reveals she is not a 'home breaker'

Kiran Juneja recently sat down for an interview with Lehren Retro and shared that there was already an understanding between Ramesh Sippy and his then-wife Geeta to part ways. While their divorce hadn't been legally finalised when Kiran and Ramesh got close, the couple mutually decided to keep things calm until their son, Rohan Sippy, completed his exams. In Kiran's words:

"Nahi, divorce nahi hua tha, but there was an understanding, and there was not a separation. Kyuki Rohan was very young, uska final year tha and they did not want to disrupt his thing…"

When asked if the 'home breaker' tag ever bothered her, Kiran shared that marrying Ramesh Sippy would have bothered her if she had been a home breaker, but she knew the situation between their bond and wasn't the one to break their home. She also addressed the nearly 17-year-old age gap with Ramesh Sippy and admitted that she always got along with older people more. Kiran said:

"See, marriage would have bothered me if I was the home breaker, but I already knew their situation, so it's not like I broke their house. So I was okay with that, and that was never the worry. I was too mature at my age. But boys of my age, I could never tune with them mentally. So yes, he was much older, but that didn't bother me, neither did it affect anything."

Kiran Juneja shares what made her fall for Ramesh Sippy

In the same conversation, Kiran Juneja opened up about what made her fall for Ramesh Sippy and mentioned that his humility drew her towards him. Despite his success on the big screen, he talked to everyone with the same amount of respect that won her heart. The actress highlighted that she had witnessed people change after early success, but when she noticed Ramesh's grounded nature and respect for women, she fell in love with him.

Ramesh Sippy met Kiran Juneja when she arrived to audition for one of his projects. He fell in love with her at first sight, and they dated for 4 years before tying the knot in 1986. Their age gap didn't become a barrier in their relationship, and Ramesh divorced his first wife, Geeta, before his second marriage. Ramesh and Kiran don't have any kids, but the actress considers Ramesh's kids from his first marriage, Rohan, Sheena and Sonya, as her kids.
