On May 6, 2023, Kriti Kulhari took to her Instagram handle and posted a video featuring some pictures of her brand-new haircut. The actress, who is renowned for her beautiful tresses, looked completely different in her short hair. However, her beaming smile lightened up the entire video and clearly showed how much she is happy with her decision.

Along with the video that is doing rounds on social media, Kirti Kulhari penned a long note in which she revealed the reason behind chopping off her long hair. The actress revealed how actresses require to have at least shoulder-length hair, and it was her long-lasting goal to opt for a crew cut. But every time she used to think of doing it, Kirti found herself in the middle of some project. However, after much waiting, the actress finally did what she wanted to do and admitted that it had empowered her. Her note in the caption can be read as:
"Decided to do this a month back and here I am, having done it. I work in an industry where being a #heroine comes with its own set of restrictions and limitations. Long hair or at least shoulder length hair is an unsaid mandate. Here I am, almost 15 years later, in the industry, #doingmything. I have no time to not do what I want to do… and each time I have done something which is not #thenorm, I have felt empowered and nothing short of it . Here I am , making another such choice and living my life #myway. P.S - no it’s for not any role. It’s FOR ME."
