KL Rahul And Athiya Shetty Finally Reveal The Name Of Their Daughter, Share Her First Glimpse

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty are among the most popular yet low-key couples in cinema and cricket. Despite being popular in their respective fields, the couple kept their relationship away from the media attention. They prefer to guard their personal moments, whether it is about their dating era, wedding or parenthood. Consequently, since the duo welcomed their first child, a daughter, on March 24, 2025, fans have been eagerly waiting to know more about the little one. After a long wait of weeks, Athiya and Rahul finally delighted their fans by revealing their daughter's name and shared her first glimpse with everyone.

KL Rahul and Athiya chose a special name for their daughter

After announcing their baby's birth, KL Rahul and Athiya recently shared their first post about their daughter. Along with their family portrait, they revealed that they have named their daughter, Evaarah. Moreover, they shared the special meaning behind the name, which captures the essence of their feelings for her. Athiya and Rahul mentioned that Evraarah translates to 'gift of god', and she means everything to them. In the caption, they used lotus emojis and wrote:

"Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah- Gift Of God."

They couple also shared a candid photo of their family of three and the first glimpse of Evaarah. In the photo, Athiya wore a soft, beige, off-white full-sleeved top with minimal makeup. She was gazing at her daughter with love while KL Rahul was dressed in a light-coloured t-shirt and held his daughter close to him. The duo gave their complete attention to their daughter who was facing another side and was wrapped in a soft white cloth. The actress also shared the full name of their daughter in a separate post that Evraarah's full name is 'Evaarah, V.R' to include her nani and father's name.

KL Rahul took a leave from his team's first match of this IPL season after the birth of his daughter. But, joined the Delhi Capitals camp for their next game in Visakhapatnam against SunRisers Hyderabad. A behind-the-scenes video from the practice session had surfaced online. In the video, SRH all-rounder, Nitish Kumar Reddy congratulated KL Rahul and asked him about his newborn daughter. In his response, the wicketkeeper-batsman blushed and mentioned that she was cute. At the same time, he was seen making a gesture with his hand to showcase her tiny size with immense joy on his face and whispered:

"Cute, obviously I will say cute, she is so tiny."

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty's love story 

KL Rahul and Athiya first met through a mutual friend in February 2019. They instantly connected and soon began dating each other away from the media spotlight. Soon, their pictures from a vacation in Thailand surfaced online, sparking rumours about their relationship. Later, KL shared her picture on his Instagram handle to wish Athiya on her birthday in 2021, confirming the speculations, and they tied the knot in January 2023 and welcomed a baby girl on March 24, 2025. Sharing the news, they uploaded a collaborative post featuring two swans with a soft-hued background and some lotus figures to announce. It read:

 "Blessed with a baby girl. 24.03.2025. Athiya and Rahul."
