'Coolie' Cast Whopping Fees Revealed, Aamir Khan Bags Rs. 20 Crores For A 15-Minute Cameo

Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming action film, Coolie, has been making a lot of headlines before its release. The film that is all set to be released on August 14, 2025, is not just grabbing attention for its narrative and plot, but also because of the fees of the cast. The film is made on a budget of Rs. 350-400 crores and reportedly, a major part of it has been spent on the fees of actors. Take a look at the fees of actors in this upcoming blockbuster film. 

Rajinikanth’s massive paycheck for Coolie

Rajinikanth is not just the most loved actor but is also the highest paid actor in the film industry. In the film, Coolie, Rajinikanth plays the role of 'Deva', who is a gold smuggler. Rajinikanth's exact fees can't be confirmed as different reports say different figures but according to a report by Deccan Herald, his fees initially was Rs. 150 crores, which was later increased to Rs. 200 crores due to the film's record-breaking pre-release sales.

Aamir Khan’s whopping salary for 15-minute cameo

In the much-anticipated film, Coolie, Bollywood superstar and 'Mr. Perfectionist', Aamir Khan is all set to make a cameo as a gangster named 'Dahaa'. The Sitaare Zameen Par actor, recently grabbed attention when he said that he is doing Coolie only for Rajni Sir. Amid that love, Aamir Khan was paid a huge amount of Rs. 20 crores for a 15-minute cameo in the film. 

How much were other cast and crew members paid for Coolie?

Starting off with the director of the film, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is known for directing films like Master, Vikram, and Leo, is all set to impress the audience once again with Coolie. According to a report by Bollywood Life, the director was paid Rs. 50 crores to direct this action film, Coolie. 

According to a report by Deccan Herald, actor, Nagarjuna, who plays the role of 'Simon' has been paid only Rs. 10 crores for it. This can be surprising for a lot of people as he plays an important role in the film, Coolie, but reportedly, that is his fee. 

The action film also stars popular actress, Shruti Haasan, who plays the role of ‘Preethi’ in the film. Reportedly, she was paid around Rs. 4 crores for her role. Another actor, who was paid Rs. 4 crores for his performance was the Kannada actor, Upendra. Apart from them, Pooja Hedge, who got everyone dancing on the popular song, Monica from the film, Coolie was reportedly paid around Rs. 3 crores. Lastly, actor, Soubin Shahir, who plays the role of ‘Dayal’ in this film, was paid Rs. 1 crore for it.

The upcoming action film, Coolie, is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. The film features Rajinikanth returning to the action genre after a long time. While not a lot of details are out related to the plot of the film, it does promise to be a high-octane thriller film, full of action and dramatic scenes. The film is all set to clash Hritik Roshan and Jr. NTR's film, War 2 on August 14, 2025.
