Kratika Sengar Misses Pankaj Dheer, Drops Emotional Post, Days After His Death, 'You Never Liked..'

Pankaj Dheer, known for his best role as 'Karna' in BR Chopra's Mahabharat, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 68, reportedly after battling cancer. The actor's demise left everyone in shock and heartbroken. It was his Mahabharat co-star, Firoz Khan, who confirmed the news of his passing. Days after his passing, Pankaj Dheer's daughter-in-law and famous actress, Kratika Sengar, now took to her IG handle and penned down an emotional post as she misses him. For the unversed, Pankaj was the matchmaker for his son, Nikitin, and daughter-in-law, Kratika.

Taking to her IG handle, Kratika Sengar shared a photo with Pankaj Dheer. Along with the snap, she penned a long note, as she mentioned that the late actor never liked the term 'in-laws', and thus, he always would call her his 'daughter'. She also mentioned that Pankaj made her feel like his own daughter, and with a twinkle in his eyes, he would often ask her who the best girl in the world was, to which she would reply that it was her. She wrote:

"You never liked the word in-laws — you’d always say, “She’s my daughter,” and that’s exactly how you treated me. You’d often ask with that familiar twinkle in your eyes, “Who’s the best girl in the world?” and I’d smile and say, “Mee!”."

Kratika went on to reveal that she first hesitated to say she loved him, but he never stopped her until she felt at ease sharing her feelings with him, whom she feels isn't her father-in-law but also her dad. She shared that they would talk for hours about everything and nothing, and now that he's gone, there's silence, which feels heavy to her. She further called Pankaj the best grandfather for her kid, Devika. Kratika penned:

"You weren’t just my father-in-law; you were my Dad, my friend, my safe place. We’d talk for hours about everything and nothing, and now the silence feels so heavy without you."

Kratika Sengar is a famous actress, known for her role as 'Rani Lakshmibai' in Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani – Jhansi Ki Rani. She has also been a part of several other TV series. The actress is married to Pankaj's son, Nikitin Dheer. Well, it was Pankaj, who was the matchmaker for Niktin and Kratika. Pankaj made his directorial debut in 2014 with the film My Father, Grandfather, which featured Kratika and Nikitin. And it was soon after meeting Kratika for the first time that he knew that she was the perfect match for his son.

After meeting the actress and witnessing her talent and politeness, Pankaj was in awe of her, and following this, he approached her family for her marriage to his son. Nikitin and Kratika's families eventually met, and the duo began getting to know each other. Soon, they bonded over their shared values and interests and realised they were meant to be together, leading them to marry in 2014. Cut to now, the couple shares a daughter, Devika, who was born in 2022 and is now three years old.
