Kristi Noem's Love Story With Byron Noem, Got Married At 20 To Scandalous Extramarital Affair At 54

Kristi Noem is in a deep sea of controversy after her alleged affair with Donald Trump's top aide, Corey Lewandowski, was made public. While Kristi and Corey publicly denied all such claims of having an affair. Amidst it, all eyes are on Kristi's personal life and her husband, Byron Noem and what led to the former's illicit affair.

Even before Kristi's name made headlines in the world of United States politics, she lived in South Dakota. She had a simple life which revolved around her family and farming. That's when she met her husband, Bryon Noem, during their teenage years. The couple stuck together. Kristi was 20-years-old when she got married to Bryon, who was two years older than her.

The couple met each other as they studied in the same high school and Bryon was friends with Kristi's older brother. They felt an instant connection as they were being raised by farming families. However, in 1994, Kristi's father passed away during an agricultural accident, that's when the couple took the responsibility of growing the farm ranch and agricultural business. 

Kristi Noem and Byron's careers 

Talking about the professional lives of Kristi and Byron, the former pursued a career in politics first in Congress, and later as Governor of South Dakota in 2021. On the other hand, Byron stayed in his hometown and looked after the agriculture business. He is a graduate of Northern State University, and he also has his own insurance company, Noem Insurance. Apart from this, Byron also coaches basketball in his free time. 

Kristi's strong views and opinion helped her be on a responsibile position and she was appointed as the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security in the admistration of Donald Trump. This move made her a notable figure in Washington. She had a say in the national policy debates and around immigration and security. 

Kristi Noem's alleged extramarital affair

It was in 2023, when rumours about Kristi's alleged affair made headlines. It all started after rumours around her personal life surfaced in the media that she was in an alleged extramarital affair with political strategist, Corey Lewandowski. It is worth mentioning that Corey was a longtime ally of the U.S. President. However, they both have kept denying the claims and called it a false and fabricated political move to demean them. 

As per the New York Post, Kristi and Corey were found making out at a hotel bar during the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando. Another source claimed that he saw Noem sitting on Corey's lap at Trump's famous Mar-a-Lago in December 2020.

Off lately, the rumours about Kristi's affair reignited after the same was openly discussed during a house's judicial comittee hearing. Kristi was directly asked about her rumoured affair with Lewandowski. However, Kristi slammed them and called it a 'tabloid garbage'. She had said:

"I am shocked that we're going down and peddling tabloid garbage in this committee today...I would tell you is that he [Corey] is a special government employee who works for the White House. There are thousands of them in the federal government."

Kristi took it personally and reacted outrageously on the issue being discussed in a meeting. It is worth mentioning that the moment became even more awkwards as her husband, Byron was present during the meeting. But as per reports he left early to catch a flight before the discussion took place. While Kristi didn't clearly deny the claims, speculations and buzz around her extramarital affair kept the social media abuzz. However, the biggest moment was when Donald Trump announced that Kristi will transition into a new role as special envoy for the shield of the Americas.
