Kriti Sanon is one of the best actresses of this generation. She is one of the few outsiders who made it big in Bollywood. The actress started her career with modelling and acted for a decade in Hindi films to earn her current stature. Kriti has often shared in her interviews that she used to give several interviews before she got her debut film, Heropanti, co-starring Tiger Shroff, which made her step into B-town. However, unlike many other outsiders, she didn't have to struggle for financial security. In a new interview, Kriti revealed how her father looks after her money, and her parents never made her feel that she doesn't have enough money.
Recently, Kriti Sanon appeared on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast with cricketer, K.L Rahul. In the interview, Kriti Sanon shared her background and revealed that, unlike other outsiders, she didn't have to worry about finances during the initial phase of her career. In response, the host said that nowadays, whoever reveals that they come from a middle-class background gets trolled for pretending it.
But in her reply, Kriti said she is from an upper-middle-class family. She is not from a wealthy family. However, she did not have to do something just because she wanted money. She went on to add that she has a joint account with her father. So, she doesn't have any idea about her income and expenditures. She was quoted as saying:
"But I've genuinely been... upper middle-class, whatever… I have not been someone who has been extremely rich and wealthy. But I've also not been someone who felt, 'No, no, no, I need to do this for money'. I have a joint account with my father. I have no idea how much money is coming in and going out. Even today. I've started being a little, 'Tell me how much is there'."
In the same interview, Kriti said she has complete freedom to decide which project she wants to do and which not. Nikhil asked if freedom was the result of her financial security. So, the Mimi actress shared that it's not due to financial reasons but because she comes from a privileged background. The actress said she comes from a upper-middle-class family but never needed to work because she had to earn money. Kriti mentioned her parents never made her feel she did not have enough money. In her words:
"It's not financial. I would definitely say I'm privileged. I come from a middle-class family, but it's not like I've ever felt the need to work because I had to earn money. That wasn't there. My parents were working, and I never felt the need. My parents never made me feel that I don't have money."
On the work front, Kriti had two releases in 2024. She was seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. She was last seen in the comedy film, Crew, co-starring Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. The actress will next be seen in Do Patti, co-starring Kajol.
